PA-28 - Vertical Speed Control - Wrong visualization

ISSUE DESCRIPTION

The Vertical Speed (VS) buttons of the autopilot are still functional and do change the climb or descent rate when a target altitude is selected.

However, since Sim Update 4, the Vertical Speed indication always remains at 0 ft/min, regardless of the actual climb or descent rate commanded.

This issue can be consistently observed, at least, in the Piper PA-28 Dakota. The aircraft correctly follows the selected vertical regime, but the VS display does not reflect the commanded value anymore.

FREQUENCY OF ISSUE

Always

REPRODUCTION STEPS

  1. Select aircraft Piper 28A Dakota

  2. Once on air, set an objective altitude on the Autopilot

  3. Switch on the autopilot and use the vertical speed control to select the climb rate.

  4. Depending on how many times you click on the button, the rate is higher or lower, so that’s OK, but the indicator shows always 0 ft/min

Or maybe I missed something ?

I’ve tested the PA-28 multiple times, using the increase/decrease buttons while in VS mode, and the VSI consistently matches the desired rate I input. I tested in both manual and AP mode, and the VSI consistently responds correctly to both climb and decent modes manual inputs or AP-selected rates.
There are no add-on’s or other programs running in this version of the sim for me. PC/Store version of the sim.
@Mutadeus Question for the OP: when you push the increase/decrease VS buttons, is the AP displaying the selected VS rate momentarily before going back to displaying the desired altitude you’ve selected?

I fly the Dakota quite regularly - it is one of my favourite aircraft in the sim - and, like the previous posters, I have never experienced what you are describing.

Moved to User Support Hub since cannot be replicated at this point.
