PA-28R Arrow III from Just Flight

Can you hide the tablet?

Switch on the upper right of the panel. I think it is marked ‘icom’ or similar. It’s in the manual.

Fixed for me too. Also all the AP functions not working.

Hey Martyn, thanks for the work on bringing the fleet to 24.
You do know the copilot doesn’t show interior or exterior right?
If you do, hope your team get it fixed along with the outside walking.

Is it just me or has the slip indicator become overly sensitive? Even during cruise I find myself having to constantly add rudder or adjust rudder trim in order to fly coordinated.

Hi,

I also noticed that I need constant rudder input to keep the ball centered after having established a steady bank during a turn.
Don’t think this was needed in the real Arrows, though it’s been many years ago when I flew them.

Yes, we’ve reported that to Asobo and are waiting for a fix.

Disabling nav light control assignments enables the PMS GTN 750 in the bundled Arrow(s), But, Is there an alternative way to turn on the nav lights?

You can increase GTN brightness by turning the “Radio Lights” knob, or set the CENTRE_LOWER_nav_light LVar (from 0 to 10) if your are using external software like SPAD.

It’s not going to be there yet. We’re working on some minor fixes for these updates and they’ll need testing at our end so in all honesty it’s likely they’ll be submitted to third party stores later today or even in the morning. Hopefully from that point it won’t be long before the updates become available to you. Thanks.

I encountered the same issue. Also after clicking the new hidden clickspot for centering the HDG bug, the HDG bug adjustment knob becomes unresponsive.

I noticed the same on both the Warrior and the Arrow. There’s too much adverse yaw or something. Also have lots of hours in both and steady, established turns didn’t require much in the way of rudder unless you were really pushing the bank angle and dealing with overbanking tendency.

Climbout in the Warrior was like leg day (for my right leg). Had to use a lot of trim to reduce it (then of course remember to untrim while accelerating at top of climb). Sure, it requires a bunch of right rudder irl, but I don’t think my leg has gotten tired during a cruise climb.

Hi all. We were aiming to release updates today but have decided to postpone until tomorrow to give us more time for installer and testing work.

Coming tomorrow (PA28 Arrow III v11.1):

  • PMS50 GTN750 not showing and the GNS430/530 not powering on (PA28 Arrow/Turbo Arrow bundle only)
  • GPS screen brightness logic improved - now defaults to full brightness, combined navigation/radio light switch tooltip now shows more info on position
  • Interactive paper charts enabled again and WASM crash issue fixed

Also coming soon (not necessarily tomorrow):

  • Overhead dome light artwork improved
  • Engine manifold and fuel flow gauge needles made longer to better match real aircraft (PA28 Arrow/Turbo Arrow only)
  • Custom fuel and payload menu added to our EFB tablet

Thanks for all the continued feedback, and patience with resolving the bundle issues over the weekend. As mentioned earlier, these updates are focused on bringing the PA28s to MSFS 2024 largely as-is, with more significant upgrades planned for later in the year, once we’ve finished bringing our other aircraft to MSFS 2024, released the F70/100 etc.

Take your time. Good is better than quick.

Maybe simple-minded, but here goes: If the Arrow’s Nav Light switch/ wheel (used to control GPS brightness) conflicts with the Nav Light control assignments, and the Arrow’s Radio brightness wheel does pretty much nothing, is it a big deal to have the Nav Light wheel control the nav lights and the Radio Brightness wheel control the GPS brightness?

Hm? The wheel on the left controls the nav and radio lights. The wheel on the right controls the panel lights.

Okay, got it, Left wheel = Nav Lights on/off and Radio Light intensity. Thank you.

so happy to see updates to the Arrows!! I did a quick flight I do RW all the time from KHEF - KOXB and it was so nice in VR!! So close to the real thing… except the interior is much nicer in the JF arrow  Even the vintage red is nicer than mine… But in VR with SayIntentions ATC the flight was pretty spot on. Great to see the ground handling improved. Also it seems to trim out better than before… RW Arrow I trim out and can fly almost hands-off-yoke and maintain altitude… after the update the JF one flies very close to this.

Anyway, thanks for the updates! Making this one of my favorites again!
