Would anyone happen to have PACX Boarding and Safety sound files for Alaska Airlines. Particularly the a320?
I couldn’t find anything that’s good enough quality to use. A lot of them are passenger recordings of them. Even the official Alaska Airlines doesn’t really publish them.
same… seems like they were removed from sites if they were even good at all
From what I remember, flightsim.to decided to remove PACX sounds for airline safety announcements and boarding music, because they deem that those sounds are basically downloaded from somewhere and reposted there. There’s not enough of an effort involved to be considered as “modding”.
If I had to guess, the ones that were removed are probably coming from the sub-par quality from YouTube anyway.
I would try sending them an email directly and asking if there is a way to get a recording of it.
Worst they can say is no.
The best source for boarding music/safety briefings is by downloading through youtube. That’s what I’ve used for Delta, American, United, KLM, and Qantas. Some airlines had safety brieifngs that weren’t produced for a certain aircraft, or I got lucky and found one that matched the aircraft I wanted. One aircraft I love to fly is the 747, which was a challenge to find in today’s world.
I have been on a quest to find Alaska or Horizon airline boarding sounds, music etc etc for this and its driving me a little cray cray.
I have never seen a decent boarding music and safety announcement of Alaska Airlines and SAS Scandinavian on Youtube, nowhere to find.
I was on YT for quite a while and found a few videos that could act like them but I got frustrated and stopped. Now I need to know how to save the audio clips.
just use those YouTube to WAV converter website like loader.to. Just copy paste the YouTube link and it’ll process the WAV file so you can download it and load it to Pacx on your flight.
I figured it out. Downloading and converting was easy. It was just finding the video to use in the first place
