Turn off live weather and check again. They are ponds. The live weather is also bugged at PAJN causing Perma Winter, and for you, frozen ponds.

Dont think its just ponds, but anyway, its still a bug and it must be fixed. Turned the live weather off as you said and theyre still there…

WoW!, I’d have to see if mines look like this. :hushed: :face_with_open_eyes_and_hand_over_mouth:

Did you try flying to the top of each one during non-winter weather? They are all small bodies of water. Reminds me of the release day glitches with most bodies of water in Alaska.

I have gotten the spikes to disappear by turning off bing maps data and flying in from Gustavus to Juneau. Unfortunately it also makes the rock faces near the glacier red like southern Colorado style mountains.

I’m pretty sure this is a water elevation issue with the AI interpreting satellite images.

Same for me

Hey,

I didn’t fly close without live weather, don’t know, you might be right. But it`s def a bug so now it’s not up to us to see what’s wrong I think. They should take a look asap and fix.

Good we both saw this. Cheers mate.

Did this issue just “pop up” in the last few days? Considering the date on this post, I’d say yes. I first saw them yesterday, but I haven’t flow to close to PAJN before yesterday.

I think it did after the last world update.

Hi all, Bad2000 has solved it. Download patch in flightsim
and works with Orbx Alaska Mesh too.

Thanks brother, I’ll check it out.

this is not the first time happened with the sim with these huge spikes, anyone remember the huge spike in French Guiana near SYKM in FS2004

Fixed with the Update 11 Beta. I think a mod could close this topic if everyone agrees. Thanks

Hi,

Is this the one close to Juneau (PAJN)?

Thanks

I can confirm having this bug too. I previously flew in Alaska quite a lot with SU9 (including PAJN) and didn’t see this before until returning to this location recently. I also tried removing Orbx Alaska mesh, removing WU 10, and clearing the cache, but these terrain spikes were still there. So I think it is a SU10 induced thing as the location used to be fine with SU9.
