did any of you hear any plans to add historic data or so for the parked aircraft in msfs?
I am using lots of liveries and have the live traffic on, but adding parked aircraft results in super random livieries which make no sense at these airports … I guess it would be easy to implement
If your on PC then could try FSLTL, its a free addon that adds the liveries you’d expect to see for the particular airport you’re flying from/to, so you’ll get aircraft landing, taxing, parked and taking off.
I did two recent flights out of Brazil’s Rio Galeão International Airport, and New York LaGuardia and got the liveries that I’d expect to see at these particular airports.
FSTLT completely changes the sim experience. Accurate models, liveries, and even tail numbers.
+1 for FSLTL. I’ve been using it since it first came out and I’ve been very impressed. The only drawback for me is that at big airports, the 4k textures cause a bit of a performance hit, especially on marginal systems (though it can be edited to reduce the number of aircraft if you do have any problems).
So much easier than AIG.
If you’re setting Ground Traffic to anything greater than 0 and using Live Traffic, the sim will just randomly apply liveries to the static ground traffic.
My solution is Simple Traffic. I set Ground Traffic to 0. Any Live Traffic injected into the sim that FlightAware shows is at a gate or ramp is correctly liveried. No muss, no fuss, no injectors, no 40GB of liveries. No impact to my CPU or GPU or fps.
I was at Orly the other day and it was packed with Live Traffic, almost every gate. And it was all correct - Swissair, Air France, Ryanair, etc. Can’t beat that.
I recently installed Simple Traffic and have my settings like yours, ground traffic set to 0 and live traffic active. I was noticing however that my traffic radar on my PMDG 737 and my GTN750/C414AW was not displaying accurate air traffic. Once I uninstalled Simple Traffic, the traffic radar started to accurately display air traffic again. Have you noticed similar behavior?
I don’t have those planes, so I can’t say they are problematic. ST only overlays liveries on injected traffic, whether live or off-line. ST wouldn’t affect if those models appear on TCAS or not. They’re simply livery substitutions.
FSLTL has the same issue. For some reason the injected traffic may or may not show in TCAS. I don’t think 3rd party developers know why. But it’s something internal to the sim.
I had to drop the injector part anyway as SU11 has AI bugs that break functionality. The liveries as still amazing.
This is where AIG shines way above anything else out there. Way more models and liveries and you don’t have to inject the traffic, just installing them is enough for the model and livery matching.
