Parking Brake on A320

Using the latest mod my parking brakes keep getting set to on after landing. Any one else experience this?

Do you mean when you apply reverse thrust, and roll out, the plane comes to a complete stop?
If so, that is what the autobrake is supposed to do IRL.
It was recently implemented in the mod.
Tap the brakes, or click the autobrake button, to disengage the autobrake system.

Yes it happens after rollout but aren’t the auto brakes separate to the parking brake?

Yes, they should be, not sure why that would be, but the A/B stop thing is newly added to the mod, and this is what it will do.
I’m going to flash up the sim, and see if I can’t replicate your issue.
Give me a few minutes.

I checked mine, it is just brakes, no parking brake.
Do you have any assists on?

Hello,

Which mod are you referring to? The FlyByWire A320?

Yes indeed

All assists are off

Did you check to see if you had a duplicate key command binding?
Do you have a controller, if so what kind?

I will double check that now… Using the honeycomb alpha and bravo

Okay, thanks. I moved your post to Third Party (even though it could very well be a key binding issue). Best of luck!

Sorry, I thought I had posted in Third Party. Another senior moment I guess…

If you don’t find anything, there is quite a bit of info here on those controllers, and various issues.
PS: Is your pic a Pyreneese?

Thanks for all your help… I think it must have been something to do with binding a switch on the Bravo to toggle parking breaks… just cleared it and tried a quick landing and it’s now fine, thank goodness.

All I need to do now is find out how to taxi the beast without rudder pedals as I can’t turn it at all… auto rudder is on though!

The pic is a cross Golden Retriever/Labador… just approaching 4 and the best companion ever… in fact she’s laying at my feet now, which is why I haven’t got any rudder pedals!

Couldn’t you plug an USB in her?

Get rid of the auto take off rudder.
It shouldn’t be too hard to taxi, the bigger airliners in MSFS are, but the 320 isn’t.
What type of the mod are you using?

I’m getting a Great Pyreneese, she was just born Tuesday.

Sorry no, I didn’t mean auto takeoff rudder, I haven’t got any ‘assists’ on, I thought I saw something about auto rudder somewhere… thought there must be an option if you don’t have pedals. Is there something else perhaps I need to bind for the Alpha coz I can’t turn the aircraft at all?

Great Pyreneese, wow, lovely dogs.

Ah, got it! Rudder Axis… we’re all good now. Thanks to all for your invaluable help. What a community.

That is the only rudder option now.
It is only take off rudder.
It is meant to help folks who use keyboards, etc. keep the plane on the runway.

Good flights!!!
