Passengers on planes

Good morning! I wanted to know how or is there a file to download to get passengers you can see through the planes outside windows?

No, except the cockpit crew.

That’s not really true because I have seen videos that people have it.

Source ? I think these musn’t be original MSFS planes, but third parties.

I’ve never seen it in any mods. I’ve always thought it would be quite a nice idea, particularly in the smaller and medium sized planes. Sooner or later someone should do it.

Would be nice if the passengers then also behave according to the livery.

Think I might like to fly Ryan Air then. Divert a lot… police at the gate… bleeding staff… sort of Combat Simulator after all!

Nah, I’ll probably switch to flying cargo…

Look!!

I’m still waiting for the day where we see actual modeled and animated passengers boarding aircraft. I’m surprised this hasn’t been achieved as of yet.

Dude…it’s a loading cargo addon and recorded captain voices.Where exactly do you see the passengers ? :joy:

The constant gibbering is a pain IMHO. It’s supposed to be a closed door between the cockpit and the cabin.

But I guess it can be fun if you’re into this sort of things. Trying to avoid turbulence, etc…

Dovetail Games had seated and animated passengers in Flight Sim World, they imported the passenger models from their Train Sim World. FSDreamTeam’s GSX for FSX & P3D has animated passengers & flight crew boarding and unboarding. I think the animated ground crew in MSFS are a hint at things to come, passengers may appear when the SDK is completed.

GSX did this and I understand are creating it for FS. Pax walked to/from buses, and into/out of aerobridges, talking to the F/As as they went.

MS/Asobo should bring this to MSFS. With the Xbox version arriving soon, having passengers really helps to complete the realism. I would imagine gamers would really expect this for the console version, otherwise it may feel a bit stale for many. Does not seem very difficult to do.

Indeed, you can’t put animations on variable locations with SDK now. They start at some point (like a pull vehicle, or fauna) and move some traject, or move around randomly, like the seagulls. Your aircraft could be anywhere on the airport, the scenery part does not know anything of the simulator position. Maybe it can be done in some way… passenger gateways can approach passenger airplanes, there are some German international airports. But I don’t know if this requres very accurate parking (then it would be a fixed location again)

Anyway, this Youtube video shows the easy part: a passenger list dialog and enhanced ATC things involving passengers. The real thing would have to involve people entering and leaving the aircraft.

I love the way they do people in Transport Fever 2.

Looks neat, but I did not see passengers enter and leave the aircraft, I see people walking around at random. And you can see there are passengers inside… from the outside. In MSFS this would have to be much more detailed. Cabin animation, people enter and leave. That is the easiest. I’d try to build a “passengers addin” as an extension of the aircraft, not an extension of the airport. If you want passengers in the Neo, download an extension for the Neo. After you land you can start the animation inside and show them leaving the aircraft. With boarding it’s more difficult, I would not know of any easy solution, the aircraft can’t “know” where boarding people come from. But for both cases, you actually have to communicate the means. Passengers on large airports sometimes arrive by bus. If you try a general solution (stairs) you get people levitating or descending on non-existing staircases, mid air :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

By looking the external view I think it would be very cool to see passengers inside the plane, some planes like the CJ4 with big windows, are missing this. I have no idea how much work is behind in adding passengers in the plane…

simple add a model or attachement point into the exisiting model. But with each extra part inthe model the FPS might drop. And if these models are animated the performace impact will be higher.

If a 3rd party could figure this out and do it properly they could make a small fortune.
