Have been trying long and hard, restarted my comp, etc, but installing Patch #2 proved impossible. It just keeps trying over and over to install the same file. It will progress a few %, then reset and try again. Have tried for 3 hours and gave up. According to the forums there are many people experiencing the same issue.
Yesterday it took me 5 reboots en 5 restarts of downloading and installing the patch, just patience and some time needed to install it. To late to start a flight.
I’m stuck at the first file now…no progress at all. There is obviously an issue with the way the network or the servers are handling the requests. It should not reset all the time, waste of resources. Instead it should slowly continue. There is some real issue here at the server side of things.
Same here, wanted to fly last night before bed, started updating, saw it was going to take a long time - and there is no progress bar…?
Now, 12 hours later, it’s still updating? Even for a 10M fiber line, it shouldn’t take this long?
11 hrs still downloading fs-base-cgl-0.130.fspatch.003… restarted several times just cant get it to go and this is crazy for this not to go thru had issues with 001-002 of the same file FIX this please cause now the game is useless nor can you play with out the patch getting fixed or a workaround loop thats going on
So 3 more hrs and it finally downloaded it. Then see the A320 engine is broke it will start and then shut off and wont stay running so waiting for next patch I guess on that

Same here, tried it last night after bed, tried rebooting pc a few times, pausing the download and resuming etc. I’m at 426.30mb and then climbs randomly to 448ish mb, then resets to 426.30, must be loads of people downloading this at the same time. I paid big money for an unfinished game and now this

I’ve tried for over an hour now - restarted the update, restarted the pc a couple of times… no luck. Does this mean I can never play the game again without re-installing the whole ■■■■thing?
If the devs are monitoring these threads, pls help!
EDIT for solution that seems to work for me, so far so good (Win10)(your mileage may vary, proceed at your own risk etc.):
Changed the setting in the Ethernet connection to 10Mbps Full Duplex (was set to auto).
Control Panel\Network and Internet\Network Connections
Right click for Properties
In the Networking tab, click “configure” button.
In the Properties panel, select “advanced tab”.
Scroll down to “Speed and Duplex”.
NOTE the current setting.
Select 10Mbs Full Duplex.
Click OK (leave the other windows open, so you don’t have to search for it to get back to your previous setting after downloading).
Cross fingers, Try downloading MSFS update again…

Giving up, was a nice sim, will miss it.
Gosh it’s been 12 hours…still my patching is at 0%. Anyone found a workaround for this issue yet? (I tried changing DNS already but to no avail).
Man I feel bad for some of you guys smh. I’d love to know what I’m doing different because since the release of this game I’ve never had a single issue with downloading or installing. My update downloaded in about 30 mins and installed without issue, heck I had PS running when it was downloading
Are you using WLAN?
I had the same Problem as you. I then connected the pc with LAN-Cable to the router.
I could download everything without any problems. The same issue was with the installation and patch 1.

download netlimiter4 and limit the program by 1 mb/s increments until it doesnt loop starting higher nad moving lower, im downloading at 4mb/s… tried downloading for 8 hours last night and kept looping found a discord message stating the fix and tried it… hasnt looped in 2 hours, sadly i had uninstalled the game b4 this so reinstalling it in its entirety. have a nice day…i like this netlimiter app so much imma keep it
