PC-12 Beta Range Not Implemented

DO NOT MERGE WITH “CONTROLLER CAN’T ACCESS BETA RANGE”

That’s a DIFFERENT issue. The Beta range, in SU2, is STRAIGHT UP NOT IMPLEMENTED. It’s reverse thrust that “works.”

In the actual NGX, the plane is smart enough to know when the “below zero” range should be reverse thrust and when it should be beta range.
The Carenado version is not smart enough to know this. It’s always reverse thrust.

Agreed - thrust on this one is rough. There doesn’t seem to be any thrust level where the aircraft will just not roll. In my experience, even -1% reverse thrust will still move forward to the point of overspeeding a taxiway, and -2% reverse thrust will begin to roll backwards - there is no happy medium, so we end up riding the brakes the entire taxi in/out.

My “workaround”, while using multiple controls (mouse, keyboard, Xbox controller) is to first “use” the Xbox controller view interaction (A btn & R joy) on the throttle stick trying to set it down below 0 - it somehow manages to get settings with decimals - and then use the mouse view floating over selection, with the scroll wheel to put it one percent lower, somewhere in between -1% and -2% (if you have keyboard bindings, that should also work).
The low propeller velocity button (right hand on the throttle panel) seems to have zero effect.
Still the plane rolls without brakes applied, but (my impression) with less impulse and is easier to “tame” with the brakes.

Is anybody ever going to fix this? To say this was added into career mode with this ridiculous oversite is a joke.

This is still not fixed and still asinine. Please implement a real beta mode for us Xbox pilots.

Dear MS Team,

is there a roadmap to fix or update PC12 NG with beta range, currently aircraft is great to fly and simulation of avionics is good, but the fact that plane takes off like bat out of hell as soon as parking breaks released is bit pain to navigate the taxi, not sure if this was asked but is there plans or fix in upcoming beta’s to fix this issues, we know others have done like black square for their planes so is this something carenado/ms can fix.

Thanks.
