PC-12: Custom waypoints in EFB are not loaded to avionics

ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Description of the issue:

I create a flight plan and add some custom waypoints to create a custom approach. Those waypoints are not named so they are just coordinates.

When flight plan is loaded to avionics the custom waypoints that form the approach are not loaded. A direct route is created from the last named waypoint to the runway.

FREQUENCY OF ISSUE

How often does this occur for you (Example: Just once, every time on sim load, intermittently)?

Always

REPRODUCTION STEPS

Please list clear steps you took in order to help our test team reproduce the same issue:

  1. Create a flight plan in EFB and add some custom waypoints
  2. Load the plan into PC-12 avionics.

I see. It seems a problem of the Honeywell implementation. I have not tried the PC-24 yet.

As I understand it, Asobo are contractually obliged to fix aircraft issues not the PC 12 developer (unless that is Asobo as well).

I do not understand why they want to fix scenery and make new scenery rather than fixing all the functionality of the aircraft we fly in. That would reduce the anger and frustration levels with this sim.

Yes, it is frustrating. Both aircraft are part of the flagships of this edition and are key aircraft in career mode. I really cannot understand why they are so badly finished. I’ve made a lot of hours with the Cirrus Visionjet and it works like a charm. Why not these two?

I’m glad to say that this problem has been solved in Beta 1. :tada: :confetti_ball:

In this screenshot, LL01 and LL02 are custom waypoints created in the EFB. This is from Career mode.

Good to hear. Maybe beta has some benefits then?

Maybe there are other benefits, but I cannot say. AT for descents in PC-12 is still spoiled.

When creating your flight plan, are you selecting VFR or IFR in the EFB ?
There is a similar report where custom waypoints are not loaded to the world map & avionics if VFR is selected: Tablet flight plan not representative of what is shown on the planner and avionics of certain aircraft - #4 by DementedCorn327

I did a test with the same FP provided in the other report with the PC-12 and custom waypoints are loaded if IFR selected:
