PC-12 NGX and PC 24 -- Flightplan not editable on PS5

Description of the issue:

On PS5 I have the issue, that all planes with the honeywell avionics have a bug: I can’t edit the flightplan using the controller and the cursor mode, because clicking on waypoints does not open the context options of a waypoint (delete, direct to, intercept… etc). Also the left LSKs of the MFD do not work. Only the right LSKs of the MFD work and make the MFD respond. The left ones just cause no avionics reaction.
The cockpit UI itself recognises the button correctly (upon hovering with the cursor over them, it shows the tooltip UI correctly and they are highlighted blue). But the avionics does nothing upon clicking.
Also clicking on waypoints directly only results in being able to scroll through the list, but clicks on certain waypoints are not recognized.

This issue heavily impacts the IFR-Ability of the pc 12 and 24 (and more plane, if they use the same avionics, but I only know these two by now).

And as I said: My keybind settings are not misconfigured, because I can scroll through the list, I can zoom the map, i can use many displayed buttons on the mfd), i can use the right LSKs (but not the left).

Please fix this. I spent almost my whole careermode money ln that plane to make a profit with it and now I can barely use its autopilot, because I can’t remove discontinuities etc.

REPRODUCTION STEPS

Please list clear steps you took in order to help our test team reproduce the same issue:

  1. Create a flightplan on EFB

  2. Send it to the PC12NGX or PC 24 Avionics

  3. Try to edit it by using the touchscreen or left LSKs using the cursormode with the dualsense controller

YOUR SETTINGS

If the issue still occurs with no mods and add-ons, please continue to report your issue. If not, please move this post to the User Support Hub.

What peripherals are you using, if relevant:

PS5, Dualsense controller

Are you able to use a mouse :mouse:

I use one and it works

No, i only have a mouse with cable and it is not long enough to get to my ps5.

The game must be fully playable with the standard hardware - so the controller. And I paid for that plane too.

A fix is needed.

But I get your point. But MS needs to fix this. Many people will stumble across this issue

There is also another bug: the autothrottle of the pc 12 selfdeactivates completely randomly. Even in straight plain flight. And in idle the engine is silent in the cockpit. Those planes need bugfixes desperately

Please don’t mix issues in a report. Search if the others issues you are experiencing have already been reported: https://forums.flightsimulator.com/search?q=%20%23bugs%3Aaircraft-systems-bug%20tags%3Apilatus-pc-12-nxg%2Bmsfs-2024%20status%3Aopen. If not create new reports with 1 bug per topic. Thank you.

New post on those issues created

Played today with the pc 24…. It feels handlingwise even worse.

I have this exact same issue with the PC-24.

Which platform are you on? Also PS5? Or Xbox?

PS5. Really making navigation impossible in the PC-24.

That’s why I stopped using those planes unfortunately. I need to be able to operate the mfd.

Thank you for the bug report.

We have created an internal ticket to see if our team already has this logged, and if not they will attempt to reproduce the issue and create a new bug report. This item is now marked as feedback-logged. If there is an existing bug report or one is created, we will move this thread to bug-logged.

Thank you.

Can you please do the same for another urgent issue on ps5: https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/autothrust-disengages-itself-randomly-on-ps5/

This one is as nasty as this one and also needs the devs attention on PS5, please.

Yep……So annoying I grinded hard with the Cessna 172 to buy a Pilatus PC-12 as I couldn’t wait to do RNAV missions. Finally got the plane and now I can’t get rid of the discontinuity when I insert flight plan on the avionics. Toke me while to figure out how to interact with the system using cursor mode but some reason clicking on discontinuity won’t come up with the option to remove it

You can get rid of discontinuity in pc12. Click on the screen where you see discontinuity on the mfd. (With mouse on the mfd screen) A small dropdown box will appear, click on delete waypoint. Then click on the blue activate button.

I have just done it on ps5, it works so if yours doesn’t some other issue must be present.

Not possible with controller and cursor mode. You can’t click on waypoints. The submenu does not open. You can only drag the whole list to scroll. Just clicking on waypoints causes no MFD reaction.

Most players rely on the game to be playable with the ps5’s own hardware alone.

Not everyone can fit a mouse comfortably in his/hers gaming setup. We don’t sit on desks like pc people do. We lay chilled on our couch etc. fairly distant from the console itself.

The game must be fully playable with the ps5 basic setup: The controller alone!

Once upon a time I used a cordless mouse on my console but had more issues than benefits, due to my headset, my controller and other stuff using the same 2,4 GHz frequency.

So… no…. A mouse is not an option for everyone. Please fix those planes. All other planes are interactable with controller. So there is no reason for the two pilatus ones to require a mouse to be able so use the mfd, while all other planes do not require such hardware, that also costs money !

Wow, really?

I am on PS5, as written in the original post on top.

Can we please get a bug logged from Asobo, please?

Hi folks,

This issue has now been upgraded from feedback-logged to bug-logged, after successful reproductions by the Dev Team.

Thanks as always for your reports to help us identify this,
The MSFS Team
