What’s sad is that this major bug (basic navigation via autopilot) won’t get any attention because it’s only got 1 vote.

Basic bugs are being skipped because of the voting system.

That’s not how the voting system works. They look at all bugs
There’s a bug down below with just 4 votes that has been logged.

I found that opening the NAV SEL on the passenger side can solve the problem

Thanks that does work! A decent workaround for now.

This was exactly my problem and it was driving me crazy. Very underrated tip by Ihyliu here.

Sometimes, after you manually send the flight plan to avionics and activate it, the plane won’t change from HDG to NAV and what happens is that the copilot PFD is set to LOC instead of FMS. As Ihyliu said, you have to click copilot’s NAV SEL button (under BARO) until the right PFD shows FMS.

You also know that this is going to happen to you if the CDI at the pilot PFD is white and not cyan.

Hope that helps someone.

Thank you for the bug report.

We have created an internal ticket to see if our team already has this logged, and if not they will attempt to reproduce the issue and create a new bug report. This item is now marked as feedback-logged. If there is an existing bug report or one is created, we will move this thread to bug-logged.

Workaround: Users report that opening the NAV SEL on the co-pilot side can help for now.

Thank you!

Thanks for the tip.

once your in FMS, set your HDG to intercept green FMS nav on PFD. when youre pretty much on top of the green line, switch to nav. nav lock in switch to CYAN and FMS nav will follow the active flight plan. seemed to work for me. im failing missons because of the oxygen bug
