PC-12 NGX Ground Proximity Warning (GPWS) Stays on PFD Indefinitely

ISSUE DESCRIPTION

If, for any reason, the Ground Proximity warning triggers during takeoff, the warning will stay on the PFD screen for the whole duration of the flight. It doesn’t disappear as the terrain clears or the aircraft climbs higher. There is also no option to clear it, pressing the “Acknowledge Caution” or “Acknowledge Warning” buttons does nothing.

Also, there is no option to turn off TAWS in the aircraft.

FREQUENCY OF ISSUE

Every flight where terrain is close to the takeoff path.

REPRODUCTION STEPS

  1. Load a flight in the Pilatus PC-12 NGX at an airport where mountains or other terrain is close to the runway.
  2. Take off in a direction where the aircraft comes close to the terrain.
  3. Monitor the PFD with the yellow GND PROX warning after clearing the terrain and climbing.

YOUR SETTINGS

N/A (Xbox Series X with Xbox controller)

On the image below, you can see that I’m already at cruise level, yet the ground proximity warning is still on the PFD.

I have the same bug, both on XBox-X and XBox-S (SU3 - 1.5.27).
The GND PROX indication remains permanently displayed.

I wonder when will be fixed…

According to PC-12 manual:
The EGPWS uses the database and inputs from the GPS, FMS, ADAHRS, APEX and radio altimeter to perform its proximity computations. The terrain alerting algorithms continuously compute the terrain clearance envelopes ahead of the aircraft. If the boundaries of these envelopes conflict with terrain elevation data in the terrain database, then alerts are issued. Two envelopes are computed, one corresponding to a terrain caution alert and the other to a terrain warning alert.

Ground proximity warning is still on from take off until mission completes in Career mode.
