PC-24 and PC-12 “Epic 2/Apex” avionics, MFD Map Range

For the PC-24 and PC-12 “Epic 2/Apex” avionics, has anyone sorted out the parameter used to control the MFD Map Range? In the cockpit there’s a symbol on the display screen that requires a click/hold/drag to change the range. I’d like to control map range from an X-Touch Mini but I’m not sure the parameters are exposed. The Dev Mode Behavior Tool didn’t help… can’t use “Ctrl G” because the target doesn’t turn blue. I posted about this on the Working Title Discord recently but no reply.

I use AAO and Stream Deck and would like to know that also. There’s a variable called INSTRUMENT_PFDCTRL_2_RANGE and when you set a value to it the knob of the Upper MFD rotates, but nothing else happens.

I got this info from the legendary Les O’Reilly on the SPAD.neXt discord. Then posted on the Working Title discord asking about this specifically. Will update here if I get any info.

“If it is a touch screen element then the only way you will be able to control it is if they expose that as an H:Event that can then be added as a Client Event… or if they hold that ZOOM level in some kind of L:VAR”.

@VillaJota

I tried INSTRUMENT_PFDCTRL_2_RANGE and saw that it changed the range for the small inset map (HSI) on the Copilot’s PFD. So, 1 is for the Pilot’s side, 2 is for the Co.

I still haven’t found a variable to adjust the MFD map range. Haven’t received a reply on the WT Discord yet, but that seems to be the best bet on getting the info.

Thanks for the info, unfortunately I barely use that map… Thanks for investigating!

I received a response on the WT Discord, directly from the Devs. It is not possible, the variable/control we’d need is not exposed.

Just wanted to close the loop.
