#pc I cannot install the game

I don’t think the Win10 Command “Move” will be denied anything.

Edit:
If he formats, he will lose his Addons.

Yes it will not refuse, (normally ) but the Move option creates a strange path you remember? and this poses a problem for the installation of third-party addons

I don’t know anything about a strange path.

My D: Drive.

Move MSFS2020 to New Drive :smirk:
This is where we talked about it…

I already tried but…

It says it is installed in D

And there is where I want to move it to, so it is like doing nothing

But I am sure it is on C drive

That’s odd

Maybe as Reno says there might be some old files on D that the new installations is reading

I would format drive D if that solves it but installing again 821GB of addons is like… ughh

I would like to ask you about something I find a bit weird if you don’t mind, taking advantage that you are kindly helping me as no reply has been received in the past 4 days from zendesk
Just let me take a couple of pictures pls

For the Addons move them to another folder if you can (and yes strange all that)

I think I don’t have enought space in the other 3 but no worries if at the end id it works I’ll blow them

I would like to mention this as I am supecting there could be something here

I had a previous 3 teras disc that got damaged
I used that one as C
I had that one since installed the game

Then I had to buy another one and reinstalled Windows

My old disc “system” windows was under my name as user

The person who installed the new windows did it under user and again usuario (user in English, yes bright I know)

So could that affect the installation in MStore?

After the latest Windows update my computer informations shows this

My PC

But if I see my device in WStore it shows as this like an old version of windows

MS

I wonder if the “somehow” the game is trying to install the product under Carlos in my old computer

Or am I smoking it too green?

Thanks

Ahhh interesting it’s worth thinking about you can be absolutely right, I have to look more to find out  (We never smoke enough green )

I was reading this:

But it my case I cannot move the files manually to D drive. The system doesn’t allowed me to

not allowed

Yeah because for the system he thinks the Sim is already installed on D: so he doesn’t want to move something that is already in it…

I am set as administrator but I still find more strange things in MS

Sometimes depending on how I access the account and I try to install the game there is a message stating that I there is no device associated but I do have one but that one that shows as old version

I actually log in with Microsoft account in my PC

But I had also that impression like if there were two accounts

I pasted some pictures at the very start thinking that could be part of the issue

Then thought I should maybe format D drive

But I think MS should match my PC information

Yesterday I spent more than an hour with a MS agent who even remotely connected to my computer and the end he could do anything all remained the same

Yes this is strange… So I would take the time to search a little to tell you but I wouldn’t be surprised if it was that… “it seems to me during the installation of Windows we can configure a Microsoft account can be this is what your friends did”

The account was created last year as I needed it to purchase the game
So when windows was reinstalled I didn’t need to create one as I already had it

Yeah I think so
I bet to say it was the remaining three folders in D drive
The ones that cannot be deleted
That’s why I thought of formatting it

Does it makes sense ?

Otherwise you can try this but you will have to reinstall :grimacing:
(if you can ask a friend for an external drive to save your Addons )
->Uninstall the Sim, I said uninstall :smirk: check if there are any files left in your C: drive and delete them
->Format your D drive:
->And follow the MSFSRonS instructions to correctly install the Sim I did the same installation…

“”"I can only tell you that my FS2020 is installed like this:

C:\ drive (boot drive) - The initial 1.06 GB of the download.
D:\FS22020\ The additional 170 GB of the download

After the initial 1.06 GB was downloaded, the download program
displayed a prompt, “Where do you want FS installed.”

I had already created the partition D:\FS2020.

The part of FS2020 on C:\ (boot drive) will never and can never
be moved if you want FS2020 to run."""

(If you have the courage to reinstall :grimacing:)

Ok noted.
I’m afraid I’ll do it as my C drive is just 316 gigas while D is 6 teras and was bought for that

May I ask a final question please?
A friend of mine is having a similar problem, he had the game in d and now all is in C.

He just installed an Aerosoft product and a message was displayed:

It reads
This simulator was automatically detected on your system.
This simulator is installed on a non NTFS drive.
On Windows, only NTFS drivers are supported.
Location D:/Microsoft Flight Simulator

I wonder if this could also be part of my issue this type of NTFS disc

I don’t know the meaning of that, would you mind explaing? I wouldn’t like to reinstall to find something similar at the end jajaja

Thanks

Oh I think I’m safe to go
My disc is NFTS

NTFS

Well thank you all for your concern and assistance, it’s good to be heard, it calms the stress at least

I think I’ll fly a while before to test SU6, I have not been able to fly in for days and that’s a sin

Thank you and have a great weekend

Cheers
Carlos

I had the same exact problem today! I uninstalled and I’m now downloading the 132gb of download content. If this crash loop happens again I am done and abandoning this Sim. None of us should have to go through this. I’ve come to believe all those saying everything is working perfectly for them are either plants from Asobo or paid people to troll in support of Asobo on here. Asobo is clearly not up to the task of making, running, maintaining a Sim of this level. They just aren’t.

Hi Carlos!, quick question about your Addons, they are paid addons?

I also looked at my Windows System settings (version, operating system) and I have the same parameter as you so no problem on this side, I think the info we see on Microsoft account is the version when we bought Windows, and the information in the Parameter Specifications of Windows is the current version used with the last update and all (I think).

So for your friends with his NTFS problem is it on Mac or PC? (I think on PC)
