Yes, I agree if someone is acting like that then they should certainly know better & be a bit more mature (maybe don’t feed the trolls?). I suppose with something this complex it’s difficult to pin down exactly what the problem is. At this point I’d guess anyone who thinks they know exactly what’s wrong is probably wrong.
As much as I agree with you, there have been people Which say they have no problems and are very smug about it. Your issues are very genuine..and as well as others, I have had big issues..however it works both ways there have been people in the forum saying its unflyable. stopped using the sim…then suddenly sending pics on the competition thread fot a new GPU…so I have lost faith in forum more than Asobo.
Well edit not total faith in the forum there is excellent advice out there from genuine people..

Personally I think it’s a mix of the two and yes there are clearly issues with this sim. That’s stating the obvious because Asobo have acknowledged it and looking into it. On the other hand, it’s clear from just reading this forum that there are some right knuckle draggers in here to which the ‘it’s your fault’ line would fit the bill far more suitably.
The tricky bit is figuring out one from the other, however a blanket statement aimed at either holds little weight

Yeah, I think the biggest issue is belittling those who are having issues and down playing their valid issues. It’s fine to state you’re not having any issues, but going on to say “it must be your internet” etc is not acceptable.

Over communication is a great way of piling on pressure and ■■■■■■■■ on the “little people” pounding away at the coal face to get the job done.
You have to have been the little guy to know what that feels like.
Communication is an art, there is a balance. Often it is lose-lose. Hence, weekly updates are enough for me. They’re working on it? Great. I’m sure those people are working hard to fix it for us, the paying customer. Stressing them out with public deadlines as well as internal ones doesn’t help me.

Due to delay it will be more a “coldfix” but it will be welcome anyway. Can’t wait to see it landing, and testing it!

That’s hilarious! I was actually assisting a user here that was asking for help with fps/ctd issues and refused to give his GPU model. He lost control and said that he was done and was going after Asobo/MS for a refund. He showed up on another forum bragging about his new 3070 and posting screenshot after screenshot.
Love those little snapshots into human nature.

How about we’ve located the problem it turns out that Bob was using semi colons instead of colons, so as soon as we find all of those (you know how many colons are in this source) all should be back to normal. Sorry for the massive inconvenience, and those that have had this problem for so long will get a free ride with the Thunderbirds…
Or something along these lines…oh and Bob, well we beat him up and then fired him!

Nice anecdote! Heres my personal anecdote relating to the issue. My game has been unplayable, unflyable since the FPS drops were introduced. It doesn’t matter if you find it fun to fly at 15 FPS, I don’t. For me its not enjoyable having to guess when my game will drop again. So I benched the sim for the time being awaiting a fix. The response that you all seem to be praising as good communication was a few CM’s saying ‘we are looking at it’. That was quite literally the only response for weeks after the problem was introduced. Then we got a thread that said ‘stay tuned we’ll update this thread when we know more’. So far no updates. It’s comical to think this was properly communicated.

But in all fairness, it doesn’t help a cause when certain people keep spamming threads with the same thing about their issues, thread after thread after thread after thread after thread. It’s got to the stage now where I’m genuinely surprised to not see some of it in new topics. By continuing to do so, it risks eroding the sympathy that people have for other’s facing problems and that in itself can lead some to resort to belittlement and derision. There has to be a balance .

LOL good one… Except this situation is more like all of us looking out the window at an engine fire while hearing nothing from the flight deck for several hours while the cabin crew go about their business serving cocktails.
