How does one update DLSS? How can I check which version I’m on?

I also update to 3.5.1 and I got 15 fps more now. But still freezes always. I use a 3080RTX.

Check out this video, he describes far better than i could…. IF you have an NVidia card you can get a small program called DLSS Swapper.

This loss has nothing to do with DLSS, I’m not using it, and as u see it shows main thread limitation.
Guess I’ll just have to deal with it now.
Much thanks asobo, really love to have 10 fps taken away like this for no reason.
And not a single word from you guys, like always.

Comparable perf wise for me, but I don’t run the sim in the CPU limited red zone anyway. If anything SU14 seems smoother to me and stable (after 2 full flights). 5950/3090.

GPU load is the same, so if that’s what’s limits your fps, you shouldn’t notice any difference, but for me the loss is real, I provided screenshots and everything, other players have reported it also, even if not all players are experiencing it, some people are and something should be done by asobo.

I think we’ve all had to revisit rebalancing cpu gpu loading after many previous sim updates. Used to happen a lot two yrs ago. Not had to change a whole lot since pulling my system out of cpu limitation a while back.
I do realise we all have different specs though and difference visual priorities.
You could be waiting a long time for an official ā€œfixā€ though going by past sim updates.

15 FPS loss for me, Nvidia driver 546.17.
RTX 3060 12GB

I tried updating dlss file and no luck, unfortunately.

drop of 15 FPS, and a lot of stutters, so much so that its not worth it to fly

As title suggests - I have just updated msfs to sim update 14 and have notice performance drop in terms of FPS loss and frequent stuttering. I am not sure what has changed in sim update but this is no good for me. This is one of the reasons why I hate mandatory update - you never know what it will bring. Asobo really needs to reconsider their philosophy about mandatory updates.

My NVidia drivers are up to date. I will list my system specs below.

Intel(R) Coreā„¢ i5-6500 which is currently about 6 years old,
GTX 1070 graphics card 8 GB
32 GB RAM

And before you people start asking me - No I am not running my sim on High settings.

Before sim update everything was working fine, Don’t know what has changed.

well is more than this mini freezes always while flying

I7 10700K, RTX3070 8GB, 32GB RAM, SSD NVME
Nothing overclocked for my usual test scene.

So as advised I came here to add my vote on this thread. I just updated the Sim (I don’t do beta) and I lost fps: from 72 to 57/58 fps in my very specific test scene: same place, plane, fixed weather, date and hour, no internet, etc. all the same settings exactly, all menu checked. FPS tested with in-game debug Menu, NVidia overlay and Rivatuner (not all 3 at the same time obviously, it’s just for results accuracy).

During this test scene my GPU stand at 72% usage and around 5.5GB VRAM usage. So Mainframe is the problem, something is using our CPU more intensively.

Edit: my test don’t use DLSS, but in any case I see my DLSS files in Sim directory still the updated 3.5.10, so it’s definitively not the issue.

Same here. One step forward, two steps back.

About 5 to 6 fps loss here using JF Vulcan at EGNM. Internet disconnects back again too.

Disappointing.

Looking at the comments here and my own experience I wonder if the beta was rushed out to meet a deadline or just rushed out full stop.
