Personal axis calibration (throttle) in EFB

I tried flying the 408 skycourier, my thrustmaster airbus throttles are split 50 50 around the idle position in game and the forward(50%)/reverser(50%) positions, however the throttle in game is much closer to 80/20 forward range to reverser.

I would love to be able to custom calibrate throttle positions. The EFB should have a place in the settings to calibrate the throttle positions especially where there is anything other than 0-100. So the 172 doesn’t need calibration, but anything with reversers or detents should allow us to have any position of our physical throttle matched to the various in game positions.

Some planes have this but it would be great to have this unified capability in the standard EFB.

This would make my flying much easier on most planes! Ideally this would be stored per plane as different planes have different detents and this would probably matter more than where those settings are accessed, however it needs to be in game so we can see the position of the in game throttles.

Good idea. Bizarrely you need to vote for your own wish list item. It isn’t automatic.

What we wanted was this:

What we have is this:

The only way I know of to calibrate the crossover point from forward to reverse thrust is by adjusting the “Neutral” point. This works very well, but really comes in to its own if you physical levers have an idle detent. If they do you then move the lever to this position, then adjust the Neutral point so that the white dot is on the central horizontal line. Anywhere after of idles moves the white dot up to the top right, and forward thrust goes down to the bottom left.

It doesn’t offer the same granularity of X-Plane, but for reverse thrust it works well enough. You have to leave it up to the developers of a given plane to define beta ranges, and effects.

Think some planes already have an option for that on EFB to snyc the detents.

I also wondered why it is not possible to do control settings in EFB.
It is so annoying to always go in menu, got to control you want mod, try something, go back in game to test…
I wasted so many hours to set up axis for throttle, mix, prop, cond, flaps, spoilers, …
And you have to do it for each plane seperate, since there are so many variations. reverse on throttle or prop, feather or not, beta or not,…
Going in and out of menu 30 times to modify neutral point and curves until finally the actual control with detents and locks matches the in game one, on that single plane…

This could be so much easier, in plane on EFB.
Select virtual control you want to mod, select axis you want to use.
Set/teach the 2,3 or 4 whatever positions you need.
Done in 1min.

You don’t need to do that (in 2024). In the top ‘hiding’ toolbar, just open the control panel (joypad icon) and you can change anything you want without even pausing.
