Hello.
I’m sure some have already posted but I was looking and didn’t see , sorry if I missed it
we have new internet now and my speeds use to be less then 30mbps if lucky. now we are getting around 150mbps . Figured I’d get back into msfs 2020 as I can get it to work better . nope…
with some research and testing I’m at about 35fps in vr but can not get the photogeometry to work.
All my buildings in toronto look buned. I even downloaded the toronto enhancement pack but also look burned and worn.
I have tried to delete cache file and did the roling cache and such not sure what else to do but turn off.
have I missed something or my system not good enough for it
thanks
Glenn.

Do you have the Canada World Update installed? If so, try removing it. It was worse than the default.
Samscene3D released a nice Toronto pack. RomanDesigns is good as well and free.

thanks I’ll look into uninstalling the update… I tried the romandesigns and it too looks burned and rundown.
any thoughts
thanks
Glenn.
How about posting a screenshot of what you are seeing? The word is photogrammetry by the way.
hey thanks lol
this is a pic of romandesigns scenery as it looks non vr
this is default photogrammetry
graphic settings are set to preset medium vr and close to ultra in pc
I did uninstall the canada update and usa update in market place area
The Toronto photogrammetry is just not very good, no internet connection in the world can make bad data look better.
To be totally sure use manual regional caching to fully download the whole photogrammetry to your system before flying. What you see then is the best quality you are ever going to get unless they update the data with better photogrammetry.
Honestly, not really seeing anything wrong there. As said above, its all about the data used to generate the 3D objects for a given area. Some are better than others none perfect.

oh ok so if I’m understanding correctly this area is not yet fully detailed. can you give me an example of a location to try and see how it looks on my system
btw. the default pic is after I uninstalled Canada update. scary thing is . it looked worse then this. for example the cntower was very squarish looking . it actually looks better since the uninstall of update.
I’ll take a screen shot of the area you tell me to try
tried newyork area
well it does look better since I removed the update.
let me know if it is to be better
thanks for helping
well so I did the manual cache setup and I think by uninstalling the update and pre downloading via the manual cache . OMG…I think I may have come up with the semi solution…will do further testing and report back with screenshots…fingers crossed…lol…
