Physical Home Cockpit + VR

The 6 DOF would probably be better for this. I think the main issue right now with Fs2020 is the telemetry.
I used to have a much better experience with the motion rig in xplane. Bad weather was a blast.

i agree with Airborne in every single point. I am using it for 3 months. Initial problems with my Arduino boards get solved nearly instant by contacting their support. I bought it mainly for Elite (SRS has a good profile for ED) the 6DOF motion is a huge upgrade to my NLR Motion platform, wich i use for Racing. When moving fast (e.g. in ED) platform is performing great, at slow movements like in FS2020 it is a little bit jerky, but its definitly OK. For that price a solid product in my opinion and very easy to setup.

DonricM, how well is turbulence replicated on your 6DOF?
Airborn mentioned there is a problem with telemetry from MSFS…

I’m not sure it’s a problem per say, but rather the state of development of the data that is sent to the rig.

I’m sure it will evolve, but I don’t think this is very high on their priority list.

In addition to that, I just made a little test in storm, and besides for pitch yaw and roll on the H3, It was not much of a rough ride. Though if you double this with a properly setup butt kicker, you’ll get there.

In VR, I think that the rig doesn’t need to be set for a full range of motions. Slight inflexions are enough to trick my brain.

My Next Level Racing GT ULTIMATE flight rig, centre mounted stick or yoke takes around 2 minutes to swap. The MFCDs and up front controller panels along with the stick and throttle, are USAF A10c replicas, but are fully programmable to use with any aircraft setup.
Motion is via the V3 motion platform under the seat, the stick and throttle moves with the seat.

Works great with VR, I’ve added little extra bumps from an old tv remote on some of the buttons to quickly locate buttons in VR. Mainly used in DCS, but increasingly in MSFS.
