So I got a Pico 4 VR and a 13900k with a 4090. In pancake mode it is beautiful, no regrets. The Pico is giving me trouble however. I really like the headset and in HL Alyx stuff looks great. However I cannot get MSFS to display in a satisfying quality.
I am looking for advice/ your settings with comparable hardware. Sadly I cannot use a G2 because the ipd is too small so the Pico is the only real alternative at the moment.
My setup is
The Pico, of Course
Virtual Desktop Streamer
Steam VR
OpenXR
I can make MSFS go into VR mode just fine, but everything looks like it is rendered in VGA (or made of lego bricks, if you are too young to know vga :D), especially stuff in the distance. I tried messing around with the sharpening filters in OpenXR but I did not come to a really workable solution.
The resolution is 3820 x 3820. With all ultra except clouds I can go NIS 85% in the KLAX area. But houses like three blocks down @1500 ft do not look really pretty anymore. Object LOD is 150 and distance LOD 300.
I am looking for your virtual desktop streamer settings, your graphics settings, steamVR and openXR that you find acceptable. At which point do you have Motion reprojection on? The Streamer, SteamVR, the game?
Do you use DLSS? To me it degrades the picture quite badly, especially when viewing moving parts like windmills and the like.
I am quite puzzled and any help is appreciated.
