BUG REPORT — Pilatus PC-24 | Landing Light and Recognition Light switches: PULSE and active modes are swapped on both switches
-
SIM INFORMATION
Microsoft Flight Simulator: 2024
Version Build: 1.7.27.0 (Sim Update 5)
Game Platform: Steam
Aircraft Version: 1.1.3 (Marketplace)ISSUE DESCRIPTION
On the Pilatus PC-24, two three-position light switches have their PULSE and active modes swapped:
Switch 1 — Landing Light: OFF / PULSE / LANDING
When set to LANDING, lights behave as PULSE (intermittent flashing).
When set to PULSE, lights behave as LANDING (steady continuous illumination).Switch 2 — Recognition Light: OFF / PULSE / RECOG
When set to RECOG, lights behave as PULSE (intermittent flashing).
When set to PULSE, lights behave as RECOG (steady continuous illumination). In both cases, the OFF position works correctly.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE — Switch 1 (Landing Light)
-
Start a flight in the Pilatus PC-24
-
Locate the landing light switch on the overhead panel
-
Move the switch to the LANDING position
-
Observe: lights flash in pulse mode instead of steady illumination
-
Move the switch to the PULSE position
-
Observe: lights illuminate steadily instead of pulsing
STEPS TO REPRODUCE — Switch 2 (Recognition Light)
-
Locate the recognition light switch on the overhead panel
-
Move the switch to the RECOG position
-
Observe: lights flash in pulse mode instead of steady illumination
-
Move the switch to the PULSE position
-
Observe: lights illuminate steadily instead of pulsing
EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
Switch 1:
LANDING position → steady continuous landing light
PULSE position → intermittent pulsing lightSwitch 2:
RECOG position → steady continuous recognition light
PULSE position → intermittent pulsing lightACTUAL BEHAVIOR
Switch 1:
LANDING position → intermittent pulsing light
PULSE position → steady continuous landing lightSwitch 2:
RECOG position → intermittent pulsing light
PULSE position → steady continuous recognition lightADDITIONAL NOTES
Both switches are affected by the same logic error — the PULSE and active (LANDING / RECOG) modes appear to have their light behaviors assigned in reverse. No mods or community folder add-ons affecting the PC-24 are installed. -
