Prior to the SU5 update the HAT switch on my TCA sidestick would allow me to cycle through the VFR, IFR & Landing Pilots positions using the HAT switches bound to “Next Pilot position” & “Previous Pilot Position” functions.
This still works as expected in terms of changing the angle and elevation of the camera, however it does not reset the view to be out in front of the plane and instead adjust the angles and elevation based on where the camera is pointed.
Has anyone else experienced this and knows of a fix?
Go back into your settings and double check them. Some may have been changed with the update. Box controllers got a few new defaults and may overlap your custom setting. Someone mentioned changing your keyboard ( or anything else your using)
back to default, click save and then return to your custom and save again will cure the issue.
If you bind “Cockpit Camera / Reset Cockpit View” to “Cockpit Camera /Joystick POV Down” and Joystick POV Up" the camera will re-centre when you move between the different pilot perspective views. You cant get into the instrument view using this as the “Reset Cockpit View” will reset.
I have bound “Instrument Views / Toggle Instrument View 1” to “Joystick Button 2” so to swap between the instrument views I hit Button 2 and then left and right on the HAT.
Yes. I had same issues after MSFS2020 SU#5 .
I tried everything but still not working.
Hotfix #1 and #2 , fresh install of MSFS2020, TCA Officer Pack drivers, T.A.R.G.E.T. software…
Still waiting for some support here from someone who fixed this issue with cockpit cam view using hat switch on sidetick T320 …
