Pilot unnecessarily asking ATC for next waypoint every time I hit Shift + 1 to see MFD when close to destination

ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Description of the issue:
In career mode passenger transport missions with the Boeing 737 Max, when I am close to the destination airport towards the end of the cruise or in descend phase, every time I press Shift + 1 to have a close look at the MFD to check the navigation, T/D and other info and then go back to the normal cockpit view - immediately my pilot starts asking ATC for vectors to next waypoint without me doing anything.

This is very annoying and since the entire route is already loaded into the FMS, the next waypoints are already shown by the MFD and the aircraft also follows the same correctly. Happens every time I hit Shift + 1 and come back to normal view so the same sequence keeps repeating mindlessly.

You have a keybinding, probably in ATC settings, where Shift+1 selects one of the selectable transmissions in the ATC window. If you don’t use those then delete it.

No, that control is not mapped to anything else.
Also this only happens when I am somewhat close to the destination airport, does not happen in any other phase of flight.

It will happen if you hit the 1 before you push shift. Make sure you push shift first

Thanks @Terrylawdinn @Pilotfirst9999 for you comments. I could do some further tests today and it is indeed a confusion created by key bindings but there is definitely some bug.

Here is the keybinding for ATC options:

These were default options as far as I remember. So pressing 1 would trigger option 1.

This is the cockpit view (Fullscreen):

Now when I press Shift + 1 here is the full screen:

So the screen indeed zooms in correctly but is also triggering the atc call - which is incorrect. If I missed the Shift key then only ATC call should happen and screen should not zoom in to instrument view.

And here is the reverse scenario. I am in the instrument view after pressing Shift +1 correctly (fullscreen screenshot):

Once I press Shift + 1 again I correctly go back to the normal cockpit view but the ATC gets called:

Somehow Shift + 1 is being read as both a Shift + 1 and a single 1 sometimes. This is happening recently and did not happen in the past.

For now I have removed all ATC keybinds and the problem is not occurring then.

Maybe a hardware fault? Have you another keyboard you could try?

I am currently using a Logitech wireless keyboard. If I can get a wired keyboard from someone I will give it a try. May be something to do with keyboard buffer etc.
But the keyboard is a standard working one as such and the shift key works fine in general.
