Hello, i did fly trip from LIRI to LIBN italy…using pilot2atc,so after landing the atc tells me to “clear the active” (i am not an expert pilot, and i never heard that sentence before, maybe it means “clear the active runway…” don’t know) and after i did, i asked for parking in the general aviation parking, ramp, fuel parking… wherever…the answer was parking not available at this airport…
After 2 second i asked to the fabulous “in game atc” and voilà i parked!!!
Here are some pictures…i would appreciate if someone could tell me why…thanks
Yes, saying clear of active is a normal
Phrase to let ATC know you have cleared the active runway.
As for the gate it’s the word “to” that throws the confusion.
You should post this in the Pilot2ATC forum:
Thanks i will right now
There’s a recent thread on this and believe it was corrected in latest Beta but not 100% certain.
You should also use MakeRunways to ensure P2A has the updated runway, taxiway, and gates for the airports.
Thanks,i will try
I also used makerunways here to update the taxiways and parking spots according to instructions in the Pilot2ATC manual. But if you have any problems you better post in the Pilot2ATC forum because the dev will help you there, if needed.
They are also on Discord now, which makes it a bit easier.
Yup. “To” and “for” often throw P2A for a loop, interpreting them as “two” and “four”.
If you fly as an airline (in your case Alitalia), P2ATC will only look for gates that are specifically assigned to that airline. No Alitalia gates in the general aviation area you requested, for sure!
