Pilots-Pink Textures (Feb 2, 2023)

Since Feb 2, 2023 (after last stock update?) have Pink Pilots, jackets and headphones… Even with every add-ons OFF, (running sim in default), there is pink pilots in default planes.

It would appear that the some texture is corrupt or missing? or perhaps fallbacks are incorrect?

Anyone having this problem or know how to fix??

after trying several aircraft and several pilot choices i can not reproduce this, nor do i see others reporting this problem (so its likely not a widespread issue)

does this happen with all aircraft? or just one?
in the settings you can change the default pilot, does this happen with any pilot choice? or just one?

you say you have tried with no mods/addons, does that include payware from the Marketplace?
(this suggests you Completely emptied the Community folder, if not you should test that first)
any ‘extra’ addons, even those purchased through the Marketplace may cause issues (im not talking about updates, only payware or even freeware by 3rd party devs not normally included with the game)

if you still suspect a corrupt file, its possible to delete the character folder and let the game re download them, but then you still have no clue as to why it went corrupt when others did not (bad drive or w/e?)
the pilot characters are located in the Official folder in the “Asobo-simobjects-characters”
deleting that folder will cause the game to re download it when you restart the game

General >> Misc>> Pilots - all set to default… and pink in any of the default aircraft. (Community folder empty - cleared out). Any non-default items from the marketplace- are OFF or have been removed. So default sim content only. (I am running DX12 but that should have anything to do with missing textures or texture display.

I am still suspecting that some of the textures of the default Official\OneStore\Asobo-simobjects-characters\SimObjects\Humans may be corrupt. Will delete this content and hopefully the content manager will reinstall this piece. (Thanks for that suggestion).

That worked… deleted the Asobo-simobjects-characters (after backup) and booted up sim… went into General >> Misc >> set character for each and voila, no pink!!! So obviously 1. Corrected texture install OR 2. the format or title of the Humans or fallbacks got changed somehow and as a result when called could not find the texture to display. In any event fixed now. Thank you for your help EzRyder6869.
