PIMAX Crystal with Microsoft-Store-Version (WMR)...?

Hey dear community, I bought the outrageously expensive PIMAX Crtystal because it’s supposed to be absolutely perfect for the MSFS2020… It’s just stupid that it doesn’t work for me… Why? I own the microsoft store version of flight simulator and was hoping it would work. Do not do it! What do I do now? Is there a way to compile the Windows Mixed Reality layer via Steam? And if not: If I buy the Steam version of MSFS2020, do I have to buy all the airports, airplanes and other accessories from the Microsoft store again? If so, that was my most expensive bad buy of all time. My HP Reverb G2 does such a good job here! I hope for good tips and information from you. Thanks very much! Markus from Berlin

System: Win10, i9-13900K, RTX4090, 64GB DDR5

You must be facing some different issue. MSFS and Crystal work with both versions - Microsoft and Steam. They are just different sales/distribution channels. The MSFS software is exactly the same, besides location of files on your PC.
Are you using Pimax XR switcher:

Highly recommended. Switch to OpenXR.

Pimax headsets are not using WMR at all.

I thought I saw someplace the crystal is steam vr only.

Unless you switch it to OpenXR with the tool mentioned in the post above.

Once again, thank you very much, @stekusteku for your help! With the tools described above, I can now actually run my MSFS2020 (Microsoft Store version) without Steam! It’s awesome! Thanks very much! Greets from Berlin! Marki
