[Piper M600] Extremely Low Resolution Liveries

ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Description of the issue:

All liveries load as extremely low resolution, even with textures set to “Ultra”

Have waited for “full streaming”, tried on-disk install, uninstall, re-stream, etc

Only affects the M600. All other addons load properly - including the FSR500!

FREQUENCY OF ISSUE

Every time I load the aircraft, and across full sim restarts

REPRODUCTION STEPS

Please list clear steps you took in order to help our test team reproduce the same issue:

1. Select livery

2. Load flight

3. Examine livery in exterior camera - plainly evident from any viewing distance

Yes. It’s only used to display FPS. No other changes.

[PC Only] What GPU (Graphics Card) do you use? RTX 4070

[PC Only] What other relevant PC specs can you share? Ryzen 5600, 64gb ram, all storage on ssd or nvme

Issue ONLY occurs with M600.

Here are shots of the M600 compared to the Default TBM 930. The 930 looks MUCH better.

The request is basically to match the visual quality of the TBM (or the FSR500).

This issue may be livery-specific. Here are some screenshots from the livery I was using in some recent flights:

I was quite satisfied with all of the above. This shot, showing some wear & tear on the back of the armrest, could be a bit better w.r.t. paint scrapes & dings being a little bit better defined:

Definitely not OK. In specific lighting, it looks even worse.

Well, I respect your opinion that you consider that the textures are not OK,
… but I’m quite happy with the level of texture quality that I’m seeing on my PC / display for an aircraft in this price range.

Well, I respect that you do not care that much about texture quality. Everything seems to indicate that this may actually be a bug. If so, we may both end up with a better-looking aircraft at the same price. (:

I’m seeing quite a few posts where it seems to be machine specific (including me!).

Last week I completely uninstalled and re-enabled, set to stream, then re-installed.

Still having the issue on my end.

I have very good internet speed and do not have this issue with any other addon - including the FSR500.

I have a set of comparos either here or in another post showing both the M600 and the TBM on my machine. The TBM looks gorgeous, and so does the original FSR500.

The M600, for me and others, honestly looks like “1K” liveries and cockpit textures.

I know it’ll be looked into, it’s just very weird when all my other addons, v2024 Native, Streamed, or Installed look fine.

P.s. to clarify, I see this across multiple variants and liveries. I haven’t taken the time to go through all the combos.

It IS a weird bug of some sort. It’s a bit annoying, but I’m sure it’ll get resolved.

I can “fix” the issue just by waiting for a custom livery, but that doesn’t fix the internal cockpit coaming and side panel textures.

All in all, tho, I’m a lot more concerned with the lack of drag and/or excess thrust reported elsewhere.
