After a cold & dark startup, takeoff ready, pressing the TOGA button does nothing until you press the flight director FD button. Then TOGA will work. If spawning a flight on the runway, TOGA button works properly without FD.
FD should not be required before using the TOGA button. TOGA button should bring up the FD as part of its internal sequence.

Cold and dark full startup, avionics on, flaps TO position, trimmed elevator and rudder, everything ready for taxi (or taxi to runway)
either press TOGA button on yoke, or send MSFS 2024 autothrottle toga event, or send from spad B:M600_ENGINE_TOGA event

Do you startup C&D in walkaround mode or directly in the cockpit (using the new SU6 option). Not sure if it will make a difference but just maybe worth to make a test using both modes and indicate it in the “reproduction steps” section.
I just tested it in both walk-around and with skipping walk-around, and this issue occurs in both modes, I edited the problem statement. Thanks for suggesting that.
Curious if you are able to reproduce this. SU6, streamed (latest version) M600. Tie a button to the MSFS binding AUTOTHROTTLE TO GA (I believe that’s what it is). Cold and dark and once fully started up w/ flight plan and perf loaded, see if the button will bring up the FD and raise it to the TO pitch with TO TO displayed. In my case, nothing occurs and I have to manually activate FD, and then the above will work. Would be good to understand if I’m an outlier for some reason.
