I’ve yet to see a negative effect of leaving the pitot heater off.
Is this even modeled in a way that matters, at all?

Flying in career mode, I have had a pitot tube freeze over while flying in IMC with icing. It accurately manifested itself on the airspeed indicator.
Yes and no.
I got the Tomahawk, and was truly surprised when I noticed that ice, wind, moisty conditions during cold weater - none of that affected the aircraft. Only thing I could see was icing on windows and some on wings. The flight was not at all affected by the ice though? I thought the Tomahawak was kind of top notch when it comes to trainer GA? Guess I was wrong?
The DHC-2 doesn’t have de-icing but I noticed turning on the cabin heat at least helps with the windshield.
The carburetor heater is just for pre-flight I think…
