Pittsburgh, PA, USA. An underrated city visually

Yeah, I may be biased because I live there, but id love to see it get a little TLC in a potential future USA World Update. Nicknamed the “City of Bridges” for its numerous bridges crossing the city’s three rivers that join at the city’s “Point Fountain” alongside the outlines for Fort Pitt and Fort Duquesne. The consistently rated best baseball park in the world PNC Park on the North Shore along with Roberto Clemente Bridge, whom I may say deserves world recognition for his humanitarian deeds during is life and career, especially since he died during one of his humanitarian acts in a PLANE ACCIDENT :disappointed_relieved:.

There is also the University of Pittsburgh’s Cathedral of Learning jusr a mile or two east of the city. The tallest University skyscraper in the western hemisphere and second to the worlds tallest at Moscow State University.

I see the area has already got a bit of excellent add-ons in the Marketplace with RKBRIDGER’s Pittsburgh Bridges, DREAMSCENERY’s Pittsburgh Night Enhanced, and MSFSCENERYBUILDERS newly released KAGC Allegheny County Airport.

:slightly_smiling_face:

Thank you!

I’m from the Pittsburgh area and think it’s a nice place to fly with hills, rivers, and the city. I think overall it looks great in the sim except for the bridges, which as you say, is something Pittsburgh is known for.

The RKBRIDGER’s Pittsburgh Bridges is the only scenery mod I’ve bought and haven’t flown in the area without it since. Before that the bridges looked awful and distracted me from everything else.

I didn’t realize there was a mod for KAGC. I’ll have to take a look at that since it’s a frequent starting point for me.

I’d love to see a addon for the Point State Park fountain, but I don’t think it’s possible to create moving water that looks good (yet). Even better if it turned off and on based on the amount of wind like it does.

Big fan of Clemente even though I never saw him play. He died less than a month before I was born.
