The Planner app on the EFB currently offers the below options for en route flight planning, however a more traditional VOR-to-VOR (or call it Radio Nav to be inclusive of NDBs) would be a great addition to those who enjoy that type of flying.
For those that may suggest the “VFR” option may do this, it does not - in fact it doesn’t even really offer a “VFR” route as it will often include one or more GPS waypoints, such as the one generated between KMCO and KATL below:
Even more valuable would be generating a nav log flight plan within the EFB that would show each VOR/NDB along with their frequency, the in/outbound bearings, and flight time to each.
