I play on a PC, no Xbox. I’d like to change the image next to my player name which is displayed in the home screen. I’ve looked around but don’t see anything.

You have to change that in your Xbox account settings.
Go to Xbox Official Site: Consoles, Games, and Community | Xbox, Log in, click on Profile Picture, click “Xbox Profile, Click “Customize” then click “Change Gamerpic”
