MS / Asobo should perhaps employ a special swift acting unit to solve the easy - to - fix bugs as such.
Otherwise it usually takes several months to see them get fixed.
This one unfortunately has got the same destiny.

I noticed that too, I did a texture tweak to one of my paint jobs and it did not even refresh or even do the same as actually loading it in flight to check the tweak, had to restart entire SIM, They must have changed some cache setting that pre-loads textures. use to be able to just switch liveries quickly to just see the changes in Hangar.
Also same problem with others, many third party planes no longer have free view in Hangar.

It’s not my top priority but I voted for it because it’s a feature that is not working and it’s bothering a fellow sim pilot.
I’m in a similar boat with the broken achievements (My Way, the Patagonia Bush trip missing it’s destination airport, the lack of weekly challenges,etc.). Not many seem to care but there are a few of us trying to get Asobo’s attention to fix the issue.

as far as i had a peek at the tentative release notes, comeback of the hangar external view not mentioned in the upcoming sim update…

seems like it’s just an on and off setting in the coding, set = 1 or 0 and this lovely useful feature has been disabled for months now.

still there, sadly… please bring back the external hangar view (free move and not the preloaded cinematic one) for the airliners.

Yep me too. I have the same problem. The workaround worked until that major update many months ago, now it doesn’t work at all. Like many, I submitted a report months ago. I guess all we can do is wait. Hopefully it will be fixed soon.

do you guys think it might be related to my not having installed the orbit plane ? i’ll install and check again.
perhaps, installing it will bring back the external view function.
I suspect it because the removal of it started with an update where orbit plane was first introduced, seems like worth giving it a go to find out if it is the culprit.
therefore, can you too please report if you have it installed ?

They seriously need to fix this. It’s such a simple, yet wonderful feature, and for some reason they’ve just decided to keep it broken for the past year and a half???

this is what i don’t like with the dev team, they just act as if indifferent to your calls for fixing trivial stuff like that one.
maybe, they need to set up an emergency support section for such easy-to-fix bugs, glitches, bummers or hassle.

the dev team should team up a quick response hot fix squad to resolve bugs, glitches, hassles of this kind.
we simmers shouldn’t have to wait for months for those irksome headaches to be fixed.
