I haven’t played for a while. Now started again just to figure out that the ATC is still spamming the radio with “please expedite your climb/decend” to every AI vessel on the channel. It does it all the time. It happens when life weather is activated both with real time and with AI traffic.
This is not just extremely annoying, ATC just does not shut up and does not allow anybody to say a word.
This has been around for more then a year already. And i actually thought they have fixed it?

It’s still there when I use offline AI traffic, but I don’t have that issue when using real time online traffic. Not sure why you still do. Odd.
There are some ATC mods that just delete those phrases from their script so you never hear them again, but it does require you to mess with sim files in the official directories.
I do not hear ATC at all, I have it all turned off, however, when I want really good ATC and Center, I use Vatsim. …and I am happy.
I don’t know why they don’t fix this issue as it’s been around for a long time. In the meantime, Open the fs-base folder inside your official folder. Find the language file you use (for english it’s “en-US.locPak”). Open that in a text editor and search for “expedite”. Edit the first four lines you find to read:

"ATCCOM.AGNT_AC_VECTOR_EXPEDITE_CLIMB.0.tts": "",
"ATCCOM.AGNT_AC_VECTOR_EXPEDITE_DESCENT.0.text": "",
"ATCCOM.AGNT_AC_VECTOR_EXPEDITE_DESCENT.0.tts": "",
That will remove those pesky constant expedite messages (at least until the next msfs update when you have to do it all over again).
I found that the problem had disappeared after SU7. I’m a bit late coming to the party with SU8 (been working on the house and the computer wasn’t accessible) and I’ve only done a couple of flights, but…it’s back, worse than ever.
I use live traffic exclusively.

Just look up the “expedite climb” message in the EN-US locPak file which is located in the fs-base folder and replace with “”. I did just that in my ICAO phraseology mod. If you are not flying in FAA-land, it will definitely improve your ATC experience.

Yesterday I had some free time so I decided to take an hours flight from Norwich (home of Partridge airways)
to Leeds and Bradford.
It’s a nice flight on a sunny day, decided to use the cessna 152 set my route, aimed to keep below cloud level to enjoy the scenery as I slowly progressed north so I set my cruise alt to around 4500ft.
But no as soon as my wheels are off the ground I have ATC yelling me to climb to 280ft…28000ft…in a 152?
Is that even possible?
Does AI ATC even take into account what you are flying?
They should do a bug sprint next to get rid of all the small, easy to fix, extremely annoying bugs before introducing anything new. Don’t get why those bugs are in the system for this long and don’t receive priority. Its a small effort to instantly improve user experience. Same with the weight and balance bug when using kgs it’s a simple conversion error causing the sliders to jump around, has been there pretty much from the start…
