Please Help! (787 + LNAV = DEATH)

Do you have any add-ons in your Community folder? If yes, please remove and retest before posting.
Did, then removed everything, re-installed the game even.

Are you using Developer Mode or made changes in it?

No and no.

Brief description of the issue:

I paid $90 so I could fly the B787. I’m finally happy, hyped, taking off. Once I take off and hit LNAV, the aircraft goes into an immediate death roll, down and to the right. You can tell the flight director is attempting to stay on course however it continues to bank to the right indefinitely regardless. It is not my instruments, they have been calibrated perfectly and it is only this aircraft that does this to me(of course, I mean why wouldn’t it, I only wanted the 787 out of any other plane in MSFS and paid a VERY high price for it, and it’s worthless, like many other MSFS-related things you pay for these days)

Provide Screenshot(s)/video(s) of the issue encountered:

This isn’t right.

This isn’t right, either.

Wow.

Never stops. Doesn’t matter if I spawn on runway with the FMC programmed, or if I spawn at a gate and program my own route. Same thing every time. I just wanted to fly THIS plane out of all the others and paid a lot of money just to find this out.

Detail steps to reproduce the issue encountered:

Step 1: Be foolish enough to purchase Premium Deluxe
Step 2: Choose B787
Step 3: Press LNAV
Step 4: Microsoft Profits as you and your passengers perish

PC specs for those who want to assist (if not entered in your profile)

-ASUS TUF A15 Laptop
-GTX 1650, 64GB RAM, Ryzen…doesn’t matter it’s a good enough laptop
-Logitech/Saitek Yoke + Multi Panel + Switch Panel + 18 Instrument LCD Panel + COM Panel + Honeycomb Bravo Quadrant

Build Version # when you first started experiencing this issue:

-Latest MSFS, and immediately when I got into the cockpit of the 787 and hit LNAV.

Are you on the Steam or Microsoft Store version?

Microsoft Store. Probably shouldn’t have done that. Won’t ever again.

Someone please help me with this, Steam and Microsoft are refusing to refund me, so I’ve been robbed for $100, me and a bunch of other people have been trying our hardest to fix this, the moment you press LNAV it banks to the right indefinitely, please note how the Flight Director tries to keep us on course but doesn’t.

(Did you try resinstalling the bundle? Yes. Did you try the Modern/Legacy flight model fix? Yes. Did you reboot 1000 times and sit thorough constant mandatory updates just to find it never fixed the problem? Too many times.)

Please - I know there is some kind of Pilot/Avionics hero out there who knows what’s going on who can use their skill to figure a way around this without posting “MICROSOFT SUCKS WHAT DID YOU EXPECT??”. No mods, not even the compatibility mod fixed it, cleaning out my Community folder has no change)

Someone please help - this is a like a little kid who has cancer who gets visited by the Make-a-Wish foundation and he asks to fly the B787 then dies horribly the moment before he gets his wish. And not from the cancer. A different form, one you pay money for.

Thank you!

Looks like a double binding issue or a too small deadzone to me.
Have tried flying the 787 without any hardware connected?

Not yet - Disconnecting my hardware now and trying again. Now I need to learn how to takeoff with the keyboard…nvm will just press TOGA. I’ll let you know in a few minutes.

If it’s a double binding issue I would suggest to remove all bindings and start from sratch.
It’s possible that your keyboard, mouse and joystick assignments are conflicting with each other and when you are e.g. turning your head, or the camera, your 787 starts banking.

If it’s a deadzone issue I would initially increase the deadzone to 25% and if the problem doesn’t reoccur, try reducing it to 20%, etc. etc.

Fixed - When going to Control Panel → Devices and seeing my calibration settings on my Logitech Yoke, I could tell that everytime I rebooted my PC it was off. Simply recalibrating it solves the issue. Sorry if I hadn’t thought of this prior to posting – it always seemed to be the one reliable piece of hardware I had, in fact at first I thought it was the pedals so obsessed over those mapping them in the registry etc, just to find out that the Logitech G yoke has a common problem most don’t notice until they’re in a certain aircraft that the AP will bank until you’re dead. I had 10+ people watch my stream on Discord trying to help me in the MSFS Discord, but nobody thought of this.

Thank you all for your help! Without PZ104 suggesting I pull all my hardware out, I probably wouldn’t have figured this out as quickly and now I get to enjoy my new B787.

Thank you again!
