Grats, I spent the whole evening creating accounts trial & error etc. and I’m still stuck at the starting line
I feel beaten. Will just wait until MS fixes it.
There are so many veterans trying help and I don’t want to drain their knowledge for my lmgify-questions.
This is Air-lden Ring
I had a similar problem in the HondaJet last night, I set the start and end points on the map, then went into the EFB and sent the EFB plan to the avionics, and when I took off, the flight plan in the G3000 which the plane wanted to follow was different from the plan I tried to send it from the EFB. Maybe the HondaJet just needs an update since its G3000 has always been a custom fork of the Working Title one. Maybe I’ll try the same process in the Longitude to compare, since it uses the normal Working TItle G5000.
Im also having the same issue with all the aircraft in the sim. None of them will follow the gps route in auto pilot.
Great to see all this because I have had nothing but trouble with SimBrief and plans entered on their web site. I have a Commercial License. This thing is very unreliable. I have sworn it off until they get their act together. Sometimes it works and then goes south. I flew one 787 where it worked all the way up to not capturing the localizer and GS. This worked perfectly in 2020.
I think it will be months before they fix this.
Put a few more comments here. Other lost souls.
I did try to fly the 737 max like @TheSevenflyer said he did and to be fair that AP worked better than the Airbuses i’ve tried so far (A320, A321, A400M) doesn’t work, i was abe to stick to flight plan without entering it into plane computer and it kept climbing properly, set altitude to 10000 feet just to test and it stopped climbing at 10000 feet, that didn’t work in the Airbuses but then after climbing was complete it no longer stuck to the flight plan and went off course for some reason.
I am a noob and have only flown the Cessna in career mode, so this is only true in this scenario: I edit almost every flight plan in career mode with the EFB, send it to avionics and it just works without issues, i just turn on the autopilot and it just flies where I wanted. The only caveat is that it will only accept VOR / NDB / airports in the flightplan, so you can’t tell it to fly to a pattern entry GPS point. Not sure if this is intended or if this is how the real thing is.
OK, I have this puppy hunting now, not perfect but it found SFO and did a CAT3 auto-land in my actual conditions today:
and
This video takes you through each step logically… I still forgot to bring the plane in under the GS and went around twice.
I’ll put this note in a few places as people are having trouble with this. I still need help editing in the flight planner and on the auto-pilot in the plane (hard to edit discontinuations).
A321 accepts Simbrief flightplans for me now for some reason. EFB flightplans still missing waypoints, though.
hey man alot of us are having the same issue as you are…its simply not a completeed sim hopefully we are all just waiting on an update
You just click DEL on the CDU keypad and then select the button next to the screen that has the discontinuity. Then click execute.
Short feedback:
Navgraph wasn’t able to launch: endless failed login screen
i deinstalled it. Is this really needed?
Same boat. Annoying that you have to put everything in the FMC instead of just loading up and flying after creating a flight in the EFB. Its ridiculous.
Exact same issue for me. No matter what plane I fly, when I turn on autopilot and hit Nav it absolutely will not follow the flight plan. It either stays straight or takes a hard turn going nowhere near the flight plan. As a MSFS 2020 user, I’ve NEVER had this problem until this new game.
I’m hoping it gets fixed ASAP. I can’t play MSFS 2024 until this gets fixed because it’s useless. I’m not taking hours to learn how to program flight plans into the plane when should just be able to do the flight plan on free flight and it go right into the plane, like it did on 2020.
Does the flight plan routing even show up on your MFD?
It does not. Anyone else having this issue?
Had the same issue with 747. Everything in the EFB was setup perfectly. So I disengaged AP to fly manually, and then the friggin’ warning and sound alerted that AP was disengaged and wouldn’t turn off unless I had AP1 pushed, even up to when I was taxiing to the gates.
If there was something obvious that the user is doing, it’s not intuitive to let you know that and how to correct it. For example, I just worked out why my a320Neo wasn’t pushing back after several days trying (reported by many other people). For me, it was because the sim was on pause (not the game), so it allowed me to push all my buttons, view my surroundings etc, ATC was responding but no pushback as if I had the brakes on, until the in-game pause was taken off (no indication on screen). The game needs a bit more work to make it playable and intuitive for all.
