Please do! I always wanted to be catapulted off of one!
I have this mod and I love it! A must have for naval aviation fans! The spawn on deck feature sometimes acts off but just press it again to fix.
So after over 50 good and solid attempts to land in the F4U Corsair without catching a arresting cable even once I am a little disappointed with Jaystrikes World Carriers. I guess it only works with the F-18 provided in game? Did not work in SU10 and now in SU11 - not traps. I wrote him an email regarding this and to see what I might need to make it work (or what Iâm doing wrong), but have not received a reply.
I am putting her down at stall speed right on the cables, then I tried further back from the fantail hoping to catch a cable on the rollout. Nada. Very bummed.
It would be nice if Asobo âreleasedâ their aircraft carrier into the wild!
The one that exists for the Top Gun landing challenge. It is the only challenge folder in âOfficial/One Storeâ that includes the scenery: in this case the carrier and its escort ships and obviously because it has to.
So I copied and pasted the carrier, the Frigates and the Humans from that folder into âcommunityâ and I can get the Frigates (weirdly they sail away north west). But so far something is stopping âcarrierâ from appearing.
Guessing it wonât be much and therefore they could tweak its file structure or whatever - probably very quickly - and make it available in content manager.
Itâs not that quick. Right now bringing the carrier to run around needs some workaround which is not what Asobo/Jörg Neumann are doing when they provide a feature especially if it has to work on Xbox too.
Ships in general are currently just objects sitting always at 0ft. They donât rock with the waves and they donât feature simple hard decks like in FSX. That has been removed for unknown reasons (likely for compatibility/stability reasons)
I think Asobo might be working on bringing a better functionality for all ships into the sim first before we will see carriers roaming around just like they did on helicopters and gliders.
We found this thread/wishlist about a year ago. Supercarrier Pro is the result of one year of R&D to develop the best carrier experience possible on MSFS, and cover as many as the features on this wishlist. Your definition of the problem and features was incredibly useful as a guide.
We are now happy to present the most comprehensive, functional Aircraft Carrier package for MSFS - Miltech Simulations Supercarrier Pro

I saw that when it came out - itâs looking pretty cool! Iâm glad you found the list useful
Do you know if it will be possible in the future to remove the âCrash detection must be offâ limitation?
Unless the crash detection engine is significantly improved, no. Crash detection is very sensitive and it does not work well with moving surfaces (eg. elevators, JBDs, etc.) and tight spaces (hangars, cluttered deck).
Carrier landings are also quite hard and very likely will end up triggering a crash.Youâre free to give it a try, but we cannot guarantee it works well.
oh, you mean like when youâre taxing back on a runway and your wingtip grazes a small bush and it registers a crash?
Iâll take your word for it on the carriersâŠ
Well the big surprise and good (excellent) news is that we can have not only the Top Gun carrier and its escorts all fully landable, but also the Kuznetsov and its escorts. And in several locations each.
And all included with the Marketplace Kamov ka 10. Since it was less than 4 British pounds I bought it. There are photos of the carriers but since it was ship borne heli I thought nothing more of it. No mention of it, no âreadmeâ etc.
So for 2 days I enjoyed the little float equipped 1 person no fuselage heli (by the way its easy for non rotary wing ppl to fly - no out of balance yaw forces) then I spotted an extra bit to the screen top menu: âcarrier configurationâ. I soon discovered how to teleport to them and land any aircraft on/catapult off. If not hook equipped there is a fake hook that does the job. Then I discovered if you search while setting up a flight you can see them in several locations. They exist anyway and sail off presumably all the time we are in game.
So woo-hoo!!
