Please take a look at this if you are facing a Graphics downgrade

Please check your Nvidia Geforce Experience Settings for MSFS. It so happens that the software had my settings set to “Optimal” which were medium/low for some reason. I clicked on “Revert” to set it back to Ultra/High as I have them in sim. And Voila ! My sim looks amazing now just like before.

So why does this happen ? This usually happens whenever a new driver update for GPU gets installed. Now remember that there was a nvidia driver update just before the patch 3 went live. I am very sure almost all of us installed that update before updating the game.

Hope this helps !

i have turned off automatic optimization but it seems that my game somwhere has a loss of performance.
at the 1.7 version i was able to play high preset fuidly and now im nearly on the lowest settings possible to nearly reach a nice gameplay

I’m lost about this; I remember having seen Geforce Experience in the past, but I’ve just looked for it to check these settings, and I can’t find it.
I wonder if this could somehow be involved in my getting terrible terrain representation in some areas after the 29th patch.

Thanks for the tip! Mine was set on “Optimal” for some reason. Now going back into the sim to see any difference. Thanks!

I assume you mean this:

I never do their “Optimize”: in the screens above, we can see it would set most settings to low.
I have the impression their “Optimize” is a downgrade of quality for the sake of very high FPS, which is not needed in FS. 40 FPS is good in FS.
Their “Optimize” is for FPS-obsessed shills!

Their “Optimize” wants me to set to 1080p when my monitor is native 1440p. Utterly ludicrous “optimization”!

Mine is making the same stupid ‘Optimisation’ suggestions

More and more threads are being posted that refer to this issue and yes it is fact what the op said. Please check NGE settings. And also photogrammetry in game to make sure it’s not grayed out. I adjusted these issues and things are much better (not perfect still) but better.

Can someone with more experience tell me, if I set GeForce Experience settings to Max Quality, does it adjust the ingame settings accordingly? Or will the in-game settings not change, causing a conflict of settings between the two programs?

I’m worried that changing the GeForce Experience settings would somehow revert all my settings in game and somehow screw my graphics up entirely in MSFS…

Face it. We won’t ever get the graphics we had on release… thanks Xbox? Thanks Asobo? Thanks Microsoft? Thanks Ubisoft!

They said in the Q&A that they were aware of the downgrade and that they would fix this because it wasn’t planned.
