I really wish someone would make a nice update to Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport. The taxiways around the terminal are really rough. My aircraft bounce a lot and there are hills near the runways which is unrealistic. Additionally the gate and parking assignments need work too. I see a lot of airports coming into the Marketplace and it would be great to see Anchorage!

I have a scenery update on flightsim.to. Still has all the undulations on the RW and taxiways. Unfortunately, there’s no easy way to correct that. MS/Asobo discussed the issues between scenery tiles in their FEB livestream. I have it referenced in the scenery’s description.

Simwings PANC is available and quite good. Much better than default FS one certainly.

Agreed. Now if only Asobo fixed the Alaska scenery itself.

Yes it would be worthy of it’s own world update at some point. It seems to have been largely omitted from the two US world updates (like hawaii was until recently). Still, with orbx alaska mesh, and some nice payware airports AK looks servicable to me. Except for much of the north which I assume is just devoid of good satellite imagery?
I have the ORBX Mesh and for me the terrain textures still look like cheese and take an eternity to load if it does even fully load. Noticed this as far down as Ketchikan.

From recollection (it’s been a while since I simmed there) there were a few issues like that around. AK is definitely a candidate for a WU enhancement imo.

Can’t even use the airport. Speed bumps on the runways, cliff drop-off s on some taxiways; it’s an absolute hallmark Asobo airport, that’s for sure…
