Any idea why I would suddenly start seeing this error message, and be unable to enter VR in MSFS. I am using the Pimax Crystal. From the time I started using it back in January 2024 it worked well in MSFS2020 and DCS. I used Pimax play, Pimax XR, Open XR Toolkit, and Quadviews (for DCS only). It was working so well I didn’t want to upgrade Pimax Play when they integrated OpenXR, as I didn’t want to mess with something that was working well. Well, one day, after not using VR in MSFS for about a month ( I had still been using VR in DCS) I tried to enter VR in MSFS and received this message. I have no idea how, because I hadn’t changed anything apart from updating the Nvidia driver. To be perfectly honest, I can get VR in MSFS working with the latest version of Pimax Play, without Pimax XR installed, BUT OpenXR Toolkit no longer works with the latest version of Pimax Play, so performance in VR just hasn’t been the same. Any idea how I can solve this “Please verify that your computer is set up for mixed reality” issue? Of course the Pimax Crystal isn’t a mixed reality headset, so the error makes no sense. Thanks
I don’t have too much to add (since I’m not getting that error message) but I am using both OpenXR Toolkit and the latest version of Pimax Play (no Pimax XR and I am in MSFS 2020 with a Pimax Crystal Light).
So really all I’ve done is given you something else to troubleshoot, sorry
No worries, thanks. Yeah that’s the main reason I’m trying to use an older version now, as for some reason I cannot get OpenXR Toolkit to work with the latest version. of course there’s no guarantee it’ll work with the older version now either. I just did a flight with Steam VR in MSFS and that actually wasn’t too bad, so I have options. It’s just frustrating that things stopped working as they had one day and haven’t been as good since.
