Yesterday I had an issue where the PMDG 737-600 just froze mid air while flying on AP unattended (I was still in VR (Pimax Crystal/Pimax XR) but had placed my headset on the desk), click spots were visible with their blue glows, I could look around the cockpit and go to external view and orbit around the aircraft, and I could interact with the FMC, but the plane did not move until I pressed ESC and Resumed and then it continued with several warning chimes. Running the latest Nvidia drivers and latest Pimax software.
Hello GeirRosset, I suggest contacting our support department as support.pmdg.com. They might have some things you could check.

Sounds like you had Pause at TOD enabled.
Yes it does, but I double checked. It was off. Bug perhaps. Being on even though the switch is set to off. I’ll see what PMDG say about it.
