When I load in a SimBrief flightplan, it appears as if PMDG completely ignores the CI and payload values I have set up. For example. In my simbrief flightplan I have stated a cost index of 30. PMDG changes this to 18.
Am I missing something? Is the plane bugged?
No, this isn’t really a bug. The CI value isn’t imported via the flight plan. 18 is the default value which you can change via the plane’s parameters in the FMC.
Every airline has their own values, PMDG planes save this per registration/livery.
If you change your plane setting to say a ci of 50 in the plane options page in the fmc it will alwaysbuse ci 50 by default for that livery/reg
You can override it like you do in your screenshot.
The simbrief import is really for route and winds.
Rest you got to do yourself. There are some good videos by british avgeek on how to use the pmdg 737 if you need it
