PMDG 737 Discussion (PC Version) (Part 1)

I think I read that somewhere else too … then I will need to get used to it lol

Yes understand also but,

what then any other aircraft like I mentioned can use that my mentioned RNAV procedure? Also B787 use it, give it try. I also understand to real life procedures, certification to specific approaches but then what we have in sim? What f.ex. TMB930 use in sim is simple same as I expect here and due indications it looks like that 737 it has - lateral and vertikal control indications - check my photos. What is interesting (didn’t look at manual in this) are some other approaches on list without any indications, only runway numbers. Select them and look what they offer  nm distance and glide path in deg. Really defined one but don’t know how to use this. It looks like some also user defined path with FAF. I think still that RNAV approach control in stock Asobo aircraft use that IAN because same you see on PMDG but I think here it isn’t implemented. Look at my screenshots, FAC and G/P are there.

It took me a while to realise you also need to download the wind data separately from simbrief for this to work. The simbrief dowbloader does help with this.

Yeah it’s distinctively noisy and does sound like a hissing sound I suppose. I quite like it haha.

Got it! I think it’s that file with .wx extension.

So, 737 Joystick Controlling

Is there a optimal configuration for Joystick or does it vary from Joysticks?
( I have a Microsoft Sidewinder Precision 2 )

or could help with Joystick setting up for 737?

Yeah that’s my understanding from the plane I fly as well. I consider that within tolerances and not a violation. The descents it was doing were not even close to real life VNAV performance. I reinstalled and am currently flying from SJC to DEN. I’m about to start descending in about 30min. We’ll see what she does. So far no weird messages…

First apologies if this isn’t the right section, (if it isn’t can a mod move it please) . Been looking forward to the PMDG 737 and this seems like the right forum. Is my PC good enough to run this add on.
I can run the sim on high and ultra, but I tend to use it on high, so is this any good, if you need any more info just ask

specs
Processor: 11th Gen Intel(R) Core™ i7-11700K @ 3.60GHZ 3.60
GHZ
Installed RAM: 16.0 GB (15.8 GB usable)
Cores 8

When I was with Menzies Fuelling, we had quite a few defuels usually due to maintenence doing work on the plane. Even a few times when the aircraft was tail swapped and had too much on board for the new flight…so it does happen.

The aircraft has similar to performance to any high quality addon if not better you’ll be fine

What graphics card are you running?

Sorry made a mistake when last posting its NVIDA GeForce RTX3070

If anyone can point me in the right direction? Every single time on rotation my master caution goes off for a couple of seconds.

Then yes, you’re good. I would encourage you to consider upgrading the 16GB RAM to 32. Other than that, you’ll be fine.

16 GB of fats, low latency ram is typically better than 32 GB of slower ram.

Ram speed and latency is an important consideration in picking optimal components for your rig … sometimes BIG is not always better !!!

Also, 2 * 8 GB is better than 1* 32 GB

Cheers for that, RAM is definitely something I will upgrade soon

I am on my Final leg of the day.

I am using real time although MSFS is -1 hour. Over the alps Would it really be this bright now 23:42

If anyone also using PACX tool for passenger simulation. I’ve created a cabin layout that matches with the interior cabin of the PMDG 737-700 both the commercial airline variant and the BBJ variant. The maximum pax is also matched with the pax configuration in the CDU. Feel free to download them here.

That was the same issue I had until I googled it but it was odd as I swear a number of videos I had watched, had the speed brake armed??

tip for all those Airbus pilots swapping to the 737 and getting T/O config warnings…

Always remember not to arm speed brakes!!

It’s a full moon today/tonight. Had it risen where you’re flying?
