I mostly use the in game panel for navigraph charts, so the efb charts although nice don’t add much for me. The flight plan and winds import from simbrief is already there in FMS albeit from exported files, but I do like the thought of not having to export those files though. Performance data in EFB is about the most useful feature to me. I’d have really liked to have seen the rudimentary basics ground ops though. Doors, chocks, pax, refuel etc. Doesn’t seem like a stretch to expect that from customers a year and a half in from purchase. But “in the future”
seems odd that that isnt there
No, you don’t need to do any of that. Just click import, and it is all done for you automatically. You simply don’t need the simbrief downloaded anymore.
You’re right, I just discovered you can add multiple directories. So one click indeed!
I’ll edit my previous replies then to prevent further confusion.
What an airport Cusco is, I just made a sector this weekend with the FENIX from Lima, and its so underrated, its VOR approaches near the hills are amazing, only problem is that its really hard to find updated charts for it. But I get it, Fenix’s tablet helped me choose flaps 1 and TOGA, it was like a reward.
A turnaround before the tablet release is VPT (Virtual Performance Tool) an app to calculate departure settings. 737NG Driver has a video talking about departure TO and LDG Performance using it.
Why would I want to pay monthly for a tool (VPT) if I can get it free in my UFT?
Nevermind, I just re-read your post, and realized you mentioned it as an alternative till the release of the UFT.
It’s been a week or so since I’ve been able to make a full flight, even a short one. So this morning I flew KSJC - KPSP. It was a gorgeous morning along the west coast. The RNAVY to RWY 31L into Palm Springs is gorgeous, with a seemingly low-pass over the ridges north and west of the valley before passing to the east of the airfield, then curving back to the west and northward to the runway. Given the really long displaced threshold and a 14 knot quartering headwind at touchdown, I was pretty happy with this landing.
Just a heads up - Chewwy94 had a CTD during his live stream now while doing the exact same thing you were doing on your stream. I know you’re saying encoder, but that seems pretty odd. Zooming in/out when it CTD which is the same time as yours.
Anyine else having an issue where the 738 won’t unpause after the pause at top of decent? Never had an issie until tonight but no matter what pause amd unpause option i use in the sim it won’t budge!!
That clip show’s he’s also using a stream overlay, probably the same kind of Streamlabs thing Luke uses. That seems more likely to be the root cause of the problem, it seems to me.
Something to consider I guess. I had a very specific Streamlabs encoder crash though which actually stopped the output to the stream too as well as freezing my windows briefly too as well as crashing the sim… So I’m pretty confident my issue (though timed similar to chewwys - which I haven’t seen) is related to streamlabs
For sure it could be related. Here’s the link to Chewwy’s CTD. For all of our sakes, I truly hope the problem was/is on your end hahaha.
Updates to the 737 lineup are live tonight.
I just confirmed that zooming in and out of google maps caused my system to CTD within a couple minutes. Going to see if I can record it and create a ticket.
CTD Reproduced. Ticket submitted
I have just updated it, I sat on the ground with a plan loaded, and I zoomed in and out for about 10 mins switching maps from Navigraph to google and no CTD, is it possible it only happens in the air?
I mean I zoomed in and out obnoxiously, my wife was like WTF are you doing? and no CTD!
Wish it was available via network like Fenix (apparently it’s coming) but for now, pop out onto an iPad with Spacedesk works.
ANyone having issues with Rudder not working ?
Not with the PMDG Default but with the official KLM livery, yes.
Nope - I did it on the ground. Did you go from half screen to full screen and back again? I’ve noticed that’s when it does it.
