PMDG 737 Discussion (PC Version) (Part 2)

When first loading in, or during flight? If it’s when loading in, try hitting Escape and then press reload. Usually that will fix it if it doesn’t load in all the way.

If it’s during flight, maybe you had pause on ToD enabled? If so you’ll need to map a key for Set Pause Off.

Random times!

What do you mean hit ESC and reload? If you mean pause menu and back - doesn’t seem to to work.

I can control throttles etc via HOTAS but nothing is functional in the cockpit

Is the yoke turned hard left?

Hi Again,

Anyone know what this error is on the display?
EFIS MODE/NAV FREQ DISAGREE

You are probably using a VOR view in ND and have not tuned a VOR frequency on the nav radio.

It’s an old problem caused by TCAS when there is a lot of AI planes around you. PMDG said they fixed it but apparently not.

On the FMC FIX page, is there a way to enter a specific runway, vice just the airport code? I could have sworn I saw A330 Driver show this on Youtube.

I tried
KPHX26
KPHXRW26
KPHXR26
KPHX RW26

…but no luck on any format I’ve tried.

It is just RW26.

The way I was taught was to click the LSK next to the runway on the legs page to enter it into the scratchpad, and then just pop it into FIX page, then you know you have got the correct rwy.

You have to use the LSK next to the runway 26 in your legs page, then paste that entry into your fix page. You have to do it this way so the GPS coordinates are copied over, otherwise it won’t know which runway 26 you want to see in the world

That’s incorrect. I’ve never done that at all. For the past two years, I’ve simply typed RW26 or whatever the runway designator is and entered it directly on the FIX page. The FMC is smart enough to know you’ve picked an active runway at the destination airport.

Yeah you can just type it and it will know.

I still use the method I outlined, fewer clicks!

Yes, frozen systems and displays after the last update all systems frozen in flight, yoke animation doesn’t respond, airplane responses to yoke movement and MSFS menus etc work fine. This started after invalid entry message in FMS. Very strange. Cannot repeat systematically but just randomly. Ideas?

Thanks for the FIX info, @dectenor1 , @DrVenkman3876 and @autopylit88 …works well in both the 737 and 777.

I’m thinking that A330 Driver’s Youtube for the full designation (i.e. KPHX RW26) was on the A320 instead.

That’s correct. You must enter it like KPHX26 in Airbus. I think Boeing’s way is more convenient. For example drawing fix circles is just a matter of few ckicks and quick number typings.

I’ve never had success just typing rwy26, but copying and pasting from the legs page has never failed.

It’s not RWY26, it would be just RW26

Either way copy and paste works every time without error. Glad to know you can manually enter it though

Because the correct format is RW26. There is no “Y”. Works every time.

Has anyone else encountered this issue when selecting “Terrain” on the EFIS?

What “issue?”
