“you read too much” Yes, I try too, it improves my knowledge and makes me choose what I want most of the times, in this case, to stay away from a company that had chosen the wrong path. Some are conformists and don’t care to buy a product with defective or unfinished flight modeling/physics, not me.
Alternatives, I don’t need them right now, I only fly the iFly 737 MAX 8 for msfs 2024. It doesn’t have the imperfections that PMDG’s 737 have, it’s not perfect but believe me it hand flies 10/10 and it doesn’t “fall like a rock” at 50 feet, which takes all the joy away from me when I want to initiate a flare at the correct altitude which is not 50 feet. And most importantly, they have a team that is more than willing to take advise from RW 737 pilots or customers that had proven inaccuracies and keep improving their product.

True. The back pressure on the yoke to “check” the descent typically happens between 20 and 30 feet depending on the descent rate.
I’d also like to point out that in a home sim, factors like which hardware (yoke) is being used and how it is adjusted (sensitivity settings, etc.) make any comparison to flying a real airplane ripe for discrepancy and subject to debate.
First 738 flight in SU16 under way and I have to say it’s looking and performing terrific on my PC!
Also pleased to report that the WinWing PAP3 & PFP3 are also working in the 738 in SU16.
My yoke is the honeycomb alpha, in this case it has nothing to do with your controller.
Set zero wind in a custom weather sim session, go fly your pmdg 737 and trim it with a -700 rate of descent on short final, at 100 feet let go your yoke or controller, watch how at 50” precisely it falls as it a down draft would hit it. Now, grove your ifly, do the same, it handles as it should, I’ll commence a flare at 20, 30 feet and a beauty of touchdown. Simple as that.
@Bocha1591 I’ve noticed countless times that the PMDG 737 does indeed “drop out of the sky” during the flare, and the only way to get a smooth touchdown is to really pull back aggressively. I have no such issues with the Ifly 737.
Are using Spad for these? I have used Spad for the MCP with success, but haven’t tried with the FMC.
Latest version of WinWing’s SimAppPro. I’m not a Spad user at this time.
PFP3N works without any issues with PMDG and SPAD.
I’ll also add that Spad allows one to use the PFP3N for both the 737 and 777, the latter using maybe three button substitutions since the layout differs a bit. I’m flying the 777 with the PFP3n right now.

PFP3N is the one sold as A3XXX so essentially Airbus?
It can be used through key mapping for Boeing aircraft via an intermediate software like Mobiflight or Spad Next?
Is there any advantage of one over the other?
I have vaguely thought about getting Spad to enable more functionality in my Logitech panels with some aircraft. Could I run the PFP3N and the Logitech panels at the same time with Spad?

Ah okay, I have the Airbus one and was hoping to map it to a Boeing config while appreciating the button labels/layout differs.
This is exactly the information I was looking for. Thank you. I use the MCP as the autopilot for the TBM, but have only used sim app pro with the FMC. I was hoping there were Spad profiles, so that one flight computer could be used for multiple planes.
I am sorry I am not using the proper Wingwing names for the devices. I understand the reason, but the acronyms don’t correlate well for me. Pedestal and dashboard would have been better.
This hasn’t been remarked here yet, but some good news for those of us who have switched to FS2024 full-time and are missing our NGs.
I remember flying a 747-200 we got from Air France. The runway light switches were “backwards” form every other Boeing I ever flew, up was on, fwd was off. For the runway light switches on all the other Boeings fwd-on seemed appropriate as flipping the switches fwd was a “lets go”.

About free update, if that update is to fix bugs, than they must do it.
Because in my job of civil engineering, when we build something and there are mistakes or we skip some of the work, we must fix it for free.
And software nowdays is released with tons of bugs, unfinished stuff etc…
I was a 737 Captain for a number of years and all the different models flare differently because of rotational inertia, but it’s an easy plane to land for the most part. The IFly Max is a pretty nice hand flyer, though the PMDG bird even though not authorized for 2024 operates somewhat better in the 2024 sim flight wise. It is certainly better than the 777 series which lacks implementation of a correct C*U law currently. The FBW should be easier than the Fly by Cable 737. I do understand that implementing the nuances of FBW and interfacing with the MSFS system can have challenges.
