PMDG 737 Engine Start EGT

I’ve noticed that the EICAS EGT will show a high temperature (almost like the engine is already running) during startup. The below screenshot was taken right after switching Engine 1 Start switch to GND.

Hi,
Was the engine running shortly before this start attempt?
If so, then there was still residual heat left in it.
You can remove some of this residual heat by motoring the engine.
To do this , crank the engine just like on any normal ground start, but delay the introduction of fuel until the EGT has come down to prevent a possible hot start.
Observe the starter duty time limitations though.

I’ve noticed the same thing. Lastnight I didnt select a Gate and started on the runway. One engine was running already it appeared when I looked at the Egt prior to selecting Grd. I’ll fly again this evening and make note if it happens and reply back.
