I’ve not played MSFS 2020 in a while but wanted to give it a go the other day. Loaded in the 777 but I was unable to start the aircraft from cold/dark both via the quick start option I’ve got assigned or via the manually starting it. I usually use quick start as I just don’t have the time, but I did try to use a YouTube tutorial to manually start it up in this instance and the buttons are unresponsive.
This didn’t help, the aircraft just feels dead, I was also unable to activate the FMC via holding the Menu button.
I then uninstalled/reinstalled the 777 which changed nothing so then uninstalled the whole game which again, changed nothing.
I have also tried to use the PMDG 737-800 to see if that works or not and when I select the aircraft I get the following message;
“You are missing additional content. If you fly with this aircraft you might have malfunctioning features.
Restart your game and install the additional content to have a fully functional aircraft”.
Both the 737 and 777 are up to date, there is no updates available to install. Restarting the sim brings up the same warning message. I can proceed with the 737 regardless of the warning message and if I spawn at the runway the engines are running as I can hear them when I go in external camera, but the cockpit is still dead, black screens etc..
Really not sure what to do or how to proceed with this issue as I’ve never had this before.
I’m not sure if you noticed - the user’s error suggests that something is missing and it’s not exactly about PMDG 777 or 737,738,736.
I think it might be related to WASM on the Xbox console.
Please make sure to fully quit MSFS first - completely close the game.
Once the game is fully closed, press the Xbox button on your controller to open the guide. Then go to My games & apps > See all > Games.
Find MSFS, highlight it and press the Menu button (the one with three lines) on your controller.
From the menu that appears, select Manage game and add-ons.

I am having the same problem. I have the add-on support & all my PMDG aircraft, 717 & 767s from CaptainSIM are noit working either. I checked my account for the game pass I needed & I already have everything up to date.
