PMDG Boeing 777 for Xbox

The nav update issue was solved and in the release pipeline.

The fuel burn issue remains a bit strange. We are now sure it is caused by speeding up the simulator rate (and this is potentially outside our control), but there has to be another factor as it does not happen all the time and is not for all users. For example, in our internal tests and in our test team, we have only seen this issue one single time, in hundreds of flights. We still ask people who see it to report this to our support team. The more data we have, the better the chance we understand the issue.

I disagree. Just press the throttle, release brake steer and take off. View in external. Good enough. But we’ll see

Pointless to buy a PMDG aircraft if that’s all you want to do.

Your opinion and desire can differ from mine. Pmdg makes great planes that sound and look better than competitors.

Will do ASAP :+1:t3:

The captain sim 777 would be a better fit for you. Its cheaper and better suited for your needs.

I have it. But as I said before- PMDG makes better planes that look and sound better than cs. I use their 737 in the limited way I desire and I enjoy it. So I see the 777 being the same. Everyone can use a plane how they want.

I have a video of the aftermath of this push it never ended as zig zag then a couple of 360 turns etc etc

For sure nothing we can do about that.

Am i the only person with this issue then?

I know of nobody else. This really is an issue for the devs of that tool.

I’ve got the same pushback issues but not exclusive to the 777, I get the zig zagging on the default 747 too. I’ve uninstalled pushback pro and just use shift P

Are you asking about the Aerosoft Toolbar Pushback Pro doing S-curves when using the “Planned” pushback? If so, no you are not alone, there is a long thread on the Aerosoft forum.

Also, Mathijs saying he knows of nobody else with this issue is forgetting that he has been posting in the same forum:

I recently did a factory reset of my Xbox in order to do more testing on the PMDG 777 fuel burn issue (but have not had time due to work…) and had planned on trying a clean install of the Toolbar Pushback Pro as well - will report once I do. However, it seems that Asobo changed ground handling in Sim Update 15 to such a degree that everyone had to re-do pushback, including PMDG and GSX if I’m not mistaken.

I think Aerosoft couldn’t justify the amount of work to try an fix it, and offered people a refund (see their forum thread). My guess is this will get revisited if/when Asobo addresses the issue, and/or if MSFS 2024 changes things again.

@GimbalAxis Thanks for the reply my friend…strange Mathijs saying no one else with the issue guess we must all just imagine this stuff and post it for fun!

No one else eh…are you sure??

MMmm… I was obviously confused with the free version. I was also assuming Aerosoft fixed this issue.

I get it mostly on the default aircraft but the 737/777 are fine (just a bit of zig zagging but not bad), are you using the simulate nose wheel lift option? I stopped using it in the past cause it was causing some issues. These are my settings and a planned pushback (blue line).

Maybe my push back turns are too long , could that be an issue? I have not had chance to try it yet.

Whenever I taxi the PMDG 777, and press “X” on the Xbox controller to brake for more than a moment, it clears the take-off speeds, and I get an angry CAS message. So as I’m taxiing, I have to keep re-inputting the TO rating, Sel Temp, and Thurst, and re-select the V speeds… often more than once.

I also have my controller set so that when I press A and B together, it “Cuts Throttle” which is the simplest way I have found to go to idle on Xbox. This also seems to clear the take off v-speeds.

I’ve double checked and there are no controller conflicts

Anyone else?
